According to BBC website

Around 21,000 Arsenal fans travelled to Paris after securing tickets for the biggest match in the club's history.

Shows what a poxy bunch of fans they have. It was only a day trip for gods sake.

It was their first and likely last final for the London boys.

How many reds left to Turkey - 40,000.

A far harder place to get to.

Got what they deserved on the pitch as well. NOTHING

To be fair, there were a lot more ticketless outside.

i have no idea how many reds were in istanbul. but from what i saw from behind the goal, was 3/4 quaters of the stadium were red and white. Was this just my pissed up stated? or imagination?

Aye. All the Milan fans piled out at the end, and the ground was still 75% full.

I wouldnt be surpised if tehre was hardly any outside the ground.

The way the media where building them up was as if theyd took about 40 thousand, when they clearly hadnt.

They reckon we had nigh on 50,000 in Istanbul.

Arsenal = small time.

Where there's a will there's a way. They clearly didn't have it. We did.

That's what makes our club so very special.

You must be taking the p***.

We managed to get twice as many fans to Istanbul as they took to Paris.

All direct flights to Paris may have been full and all Dover-Calais ferries but have these b*stards got no initiative? Flying or getting the ferry to anywhere in mainland Europe and then training ot to Paris perhaps?

If we had got to the Final, can you imagine how many we would have taken over??

Exactly Paul.

It was a pathetic effort by a supposed footballing powerhouse.

In the immortal words of Jim Royle "Big Club my a***"

I think your being overly harsh on them. At the end of the day, they are not in the same league as the real big clubs liverpool, man utd( ) , mardid, barca, juve, milan, etc. So to expect them to take a following worthy of more than teams take for the fa trophy final is a bit over the top imo.

Before we witch hunt them too much... 21,000 is the figure for the number of tickets that Arsenal got to sell to their fans - not the total number of Gooners there

However, if they had close to 30,000 (for their first ever European Cup Final!) I would be surprised

I honestly expected the stadium to be at the very least 2/3rds Arsenal - but I guess I was basing that on my experiences with Liverpool.

I am sure that there were thousands in the bars of Paris though, to be fair. I know of probably 8 or 10 Gooners who got in and about the same number who went to Paris and din't get in.

How can our fans manage to find neutral spares, but theirs can't?

Are they really hoping to fill Ashburton Grove week in week out?

They will do..... Untill the novelty wears off and arsenal "fans" get bored of seeing subpar football week in week out, which is what it was for 60 percent of there season this year.

Not forgetting the massive price rises to compensate for the massive financial shortfall due to the new stadium.

There were much more outside the stadium then 21000.

And how do you know that most of the neutrals werent Gooners. Ive heard that the average cost of tickets on the day in Paris was something like 1500 euros...whereas in Istanbul it was was something like 800 euros.

Barca had 4000 tickets reserved tickets for directors, families of the players and generally richmen, whereas arsenal only reserved 450.

This is Paris too....locals are less likely to sell on their tickets....whereas in turkey, theyre willing to sell on tickets to liverpool or ac milan fans for the sort of prices that you can get them for.

We will deffo sell out AB.

Lol, so arsenal took over 40000? Sure they did.

Jsut as the used to sell out week after week before they started winning things in the mid 90s.

You got any stats to justify that claim.

Beginning of the 90's the average attendence was something like 33000-34000...which was because the new North Bank was getting built.

Other then that, im pretty sure our attendence record was as good as anybody in the country in terms of percentages.
