melia Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I've not seen any of their games under Gérard Houllier. Does he still do that muttering thing when he's watching the game or was that confined to Anfield (in some Bob Wright-esque attempt at an incantation to break a curse)?

Frosty Jack Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 "eating the grass...yes, he was eating the grass...they do it in training all the time...eating the grass..." It's still hard to believe things like that happened, we did have a panto atmosphere around the club 98-2000 didn't we?
harpoon Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 It's still hard to believe things like that happened, we did have a panto atmosphere around the club 98-2000 didn't we? I love GH and all he did for the club, but he had Wenger-esque embarassing moments in interviews (at times). That was the first time I really shifted in my seat from his comments. Hard to believe we went through that period.
