Didn't think Mourinho went in for big name signings. Carlos, in particular, has lived of his name for most of his career. Certainly isn't his defending.

 

If their choices up front are Sheva and Eto'o - i'd rather they got Sheva.

 

Be more worried by Eto'o these days.

Ballack is the poor mans Gerrard they missed out on last summer (despite what Jose says to the press)

 

Sheva is an instant upgrade to their strikers

Very much so... and the rumours are that Gallas is going the other way to Milan in the Sheva deal. The sooner they go down the route of signing 'bIg NaMeS', rather than players to fit into their extremely solid system, the better.

 

Would you switch Gallas for Roberto Carlos in your side? I don't think so.

I wonder if the posters on the Red and Black Forums would have been as hopeful about Shevchenko staying with AC Milan if they read Elisha's posts. Not that they were being delusional, just that for what it's worth over here we do get rather delicious snippets of potential transfer news. The Red and Black folks had even set up a petition. I did not dare to proclaim that the fella was already as good as being on Chelski's payroll already, but still kinda felt sorry for them.
