RafaShanks Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Any team can win the champions league? Does that include Millwall?
Guest mick the baker Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Wenger words have come back to haunt him, he was begrudging in his praise of our triumph in istanbul, and didnt really give us any praise, even slur alex sent rafa a well done telegram, you have to be a special team to do what the reds done last may, and after tonight arsenal remain the nearly men,and with the departure of henri inevitable lets see how they fare next season, as rafa will march on relentlessly till the league title is back where it belongs.
ozmick Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 (edited) a*** fans are not a bad bunch and the team play some great football. But Wengers comments regarding Liverpool in the Final last season were small time. Anybody can win it my a***! Edited May 18, 2006 by ozmick

£440,000 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Any team can win the champions league? Does that include Millwall? Yes. I've got a fiver on them to win it next year.
HeWonItFromBrock Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 As Wenger said it's just a cup that anyone can win and it's league position that counts. Other than those comments I would have been wanting the a*** to win last night.
chrisbonnie Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 thats the main reason i wanted them to lose the final, his whiny little remarks last year saying it was no great acheivment funny how things come back to haunt you int it Arsene
Rimbeux Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Before he came out with that, I had respect for him. Now he can go back to dismissing the worth of the CL as he fails to get out of the group, or past the last 16

owenthomas Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Other than those comments I would have been wanting the a*** to win last night.i never really want any English team to do well in Europe but if i had to choose one it'd be Arsenal.. or should i say, would have been Arsenal.. until that bellend said that last year.. karma indeed.. beaut..
Andy Mac Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 funny as f*** that mouthy c*** has had it shived up his rectal passage f***ing c*** Sitting on the fence again, I see
Figaro Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 he can't blame the ref as the ref was p*ss poor for BOTH sides If the ref had been anywhere near decent Wenger would have been watching his team 1-0 down and with nine men on the pitch after the first 20 minutes...
KD07 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Yes. I've got a fiver on them to win it next year. Why put down just a fiver.................when ya could put down £440,000!!!! Dr Evil has left the building in a taxi

It would have been very harsh indeed to allow the goal to stand and send Lehmann off.
Guest JamesA Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 It would have been very harsh indeed to allow the goal to stand and send Lehmann off. I don't think so - the keeper clearly prevented a goal-scoring chance, and then they put it away from the advantage. Funny how Wenger was able to see the 'offside', which was by millimetres if it was offside, but did not see his player clearly dive to win a free kick from which they scored. Still, at least Henry endeared himself to his new teammates with his comments about them...

Not off to a great start is Titti - he'll be signing for Real Madrid next

Yeah, I know but Barca would've had the goal and booking Lehmann would've sufficed - Arsenal had been "punished" by the referee playing advantage and allowing the goal. Not too dissimiliar to when Cech fouled Baros, before Garcia put away the second-ball in the semi-final really. Edited May 18, 2006 by Lee W
