Cunny Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 http://www.eurosport.com/football/sport_sto812814.shtml Champions League shoot-out hero Jerzy Dudek has blasted Liverpool for placing an "absurd" ?5m price tag on his head. The Pole has slipped to third in the Anfield pecking order behind Pepe Reina and Scott Carson and is desperate to quit the European champions. But the 32-year-old - who only last May made a clutch of crucial stops to help defeat Milan to win Europe's top prize - has criticised the club for reducing his chances of a move with an inflated asking price. "My time at Liverpool has reached its end. Nothing can change that. I've no idea how they came to such an absurd figure. It's rubbish. I don't want to play for this club any more," said a clearly irate Dudek. "If someone buys me for 5m euros, Liverpool will have pulled off the transfer deal of the year. I am 33 in March." Sidelined for the opening months of the Premiership season after breaking an elbow, Dudek lost his place in the starting line-up to Spaniard Reina - brought in by boss Rafa Benitez last summer - and fears he may miss out on next summer's World Cup with his country if he fails to play regularly. And the former Feyenoord keeper blames Benitez for the situation in which he finds himself. "I can't see any point talking further with Benitez. It's a waste of time. I have decided to leave Liverpool at whatever cost and I won't change my mind. Benitez just makes the frustration deeper," he declared. "I didn't go to play against Luton in the FA Cup last Saturday especially to make it clear to Benitez I am not interested in being the club's second-choice keeper. "Why doesn't he behave like a decent person for once in his life and start treating me in a proper way, like I always have him?"
L19red Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 (edited) well we weren't going to give him a free were we? its just an opening statement, we'll probably sell for an "undisclosed fee"besides which that article is dated 13/01 so its not exactly news Edited May 15, 2006 by L19red
