work was cancelled today. massive rainfall since thursday. over a foot of rain. I work right next to the river and its 10feet above flood level!! can't even get get near the building. not flooded our building yet but the river has another few hours yet before it gets to the max. state of emergency declared here and mandatory evactuations within a mile of my house. pretty glad I bought the house on the hill and not the one by the river that I was looking at.

 

fecking hope we don;t get flooded at work or I'll be doing a 50 mile commute to our back up site.

 

worse still one of the pubs I use reguarly is not far short of being flooded!!!
