Greenoak Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 (edited) Spurs have signed up a new deal with Mansion casino for 8.5 million a year for the next 4 years, making it a 34 million deal. Now I hope Mr parry gets a better deal than that for us, as our 1 year extension with Carlsberg has now expired. Edited May 15, 2006 by Greenoak
Kahnee Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 How much do we get a season off carslberg ? A four-pack and a bag of nuts
DaveLFC Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 You mean the 2 year extension? Runs out one year into our new red top
Liverpoolway Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 How much do we get a season off carslberg ? £5 million.... Not the best deal Parry has made!
Guest blizztar Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Who cares... I care that Spurs get £8m while LFC get £5m...WTH is that about. Sack Parry!
Clay Davis Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 i know yeah he did an awful job bringing Benitez in.
owenthomas Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 well it is.. as are things like "Fat Lampturd" etc.. ffs..
Guest blizztar Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 i know yeah he did an awful job bringing Benitez in. Obviously there is some sarcasm void here... Someone has done a s***ty job, I don't care who it is. But when a team like Tottenham gets a shirt deal estimated to be worth £8m, while Liverpool FC get a deal worth £5m something is clearly not right. Liverpool is worth more then Tottenham, and a lot more then £5m.

I am sure we will get more than £5m a year when we do get a new sponsor, but we cant renogotiate our deal every year to keep in line with other teams who have just got a new sponsor... ffs.
DaveLFC Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I will post this again, we have another 12 months of the extension. By then we will be premiership Champions and will get a great deal.

I'm just pointing out that someone has done a job which could have been done a lot better. When I say sack Parry, I don't actually mean it (shocker!), its just a figure of speech on this forum isn't it? "I'm sure Parry will get a good deal when the time comes...." I'm also quite condident that a better deal will be sorted next time around, but surely one can question what has been going on when you compare these numbers...they just don't make sense.
madaboutlfc Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 how much was Spurs last sponsorship deal??5m i think

Liverpool had a better deal with Carlsberg the last time round if memory serves me right, this £5m deal is hasty work for a short term deal. The Liverpool deal was worked out last year, so why should we compare it to Tottenhams last deal (if that is what you imply). "if you wanna say s*** things just say them" A great addition to the discussion. Funny "why be arsed whether i, or anyone else, thinks it's boring?" Because it wasn't meant to be funny, it was meant to point to the fact that someone has done a job, that could have been done a lot better.

Can someone explain to this loon that we had a bigger deal than Spurs before they signed this current one. And why we were rushed into a new Carlsberg deal. Edited May 15, 2006 by The Chunk
fyds Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 (edited) Our job was done last year and is worth £7,5m, There's was done this week - where is the point of comparison? Edited May 15, 2006 by fyds
