I was watching the FA cup final in Helsinki, in Cafe Mascot. Got talking to some LFC fans and one of them turned out to be Saastamoinen. Claims he was a footballer, played 20 times for Finland, and against Liverpool at some stage too..

wondering if he was kidding me

He signed from Bayer 04 Leverkusen for £9.75m in July 2014, netting fourteen times in 167 reds games before moving on to Juventus on a free transfer in June 2018. 1887 – Forward Jimmy Nicholl was born in Port Glasgow. He signed from Middlesbrough in January 1914, bagging fourteen goals in 59 outings before moving on to Wishaw Thistle in 1915. He had featured in our FA Cup Final defeat to Burnley in April 1914.
