damers Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 About Chelsea signing Ballack, "You don't need to buy the best leg for your table. You need to buy the leg you need for your table." He loves that furniture doesn't he?
chrisbonnie Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 they`ve bought the ageing German Gerrard, let the battle commence
Cheesecake Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 last week he was baking cakes and looking for a cherry or some icing to put on top...
Maldini Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 He's right too. That's why we'll win the league next year.
Guest Rudolph Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Rafa is a class act and no mistake. Who do Chelsea leave out to accommodate Ballack? Fat Frank? Essien?
mercury Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 actually all these talk of Ballack (130,000 per week), Shevchenko (50 m) and Carlos, of all people, put a smile on my face. Wound mind them getting Eto'o though. Their dressing room will be interesting, as Mourinho might have lost a little bit of that repsect this season. Financially, they can't be more far away than breaking even operationally.

Mono Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Maureen is putting together a squad..... Rafa is assembling a TEAM
Mike Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 i like the way the c**** made these announcements to deflect attention away from us.transparent.
Guest David Storoy Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Aurelio,M.Gonzalez,G.Paletta + Joaquin,D.Kuyt and Y.Benayoun. I would be extremely pleased if we see all these players in Liverpool 2006/2007 season. And more young talents for reserve team as well.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Maureen is putting together a squad..... Rafa is assembling a TEAM Mourinho has assemlbed a team already. Look at their results. You don't get point tallies like that withoutn playing as a team. Rafa is doing a very good job, but let's not kid ourselves. He is not the only one doing so.

Ok fair enough as a squad/team the chavs have been the best in England the past 2 league seasons but they've only one won game in 18 months of European football when away from home. As vast as their squad is that's a poor return to put it mildly. For me there is a difference to what is occuring between them and us....... Rafa said in the pre-match build up that he wants his team to have a plan A, plan B and a plan C and for the team to be able to play to whatever plan the situation requires.... whether it's 4-5-1 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 as we have played this season. Whatever way we play tho we attack as a team and defend as a team José started with a plan B in the Cup Semi-final and that was playing Geremi at right back and no width to get down the flanks and a diamond in midfield... That failed miserably and when he played with plan A (getting Robben et al onto the pitch) as they have most the season they got back into the game. In the end when that wasn't getting them the equalizer so he tried plan C throwing a centre halve up front. He has done that on a few occasions now and twice against us and all that has achieved is making him look like a tactical buffoon. We're gonna have some new players coming in that we hope will improve the squad next season but we will do it with a fraction of the money Chelsea will be spending on Ballack, Tevez and Shevchenko but I still think we will all witness a Liverpool team of a lesser household name (than the chavs) variety push them to the wire. For Rafa there is no 'I' in TEAM but for Mourinho there is a ME if you look hard enough
