Mad_Fer_It Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 ZlatanVieraZambrotta (amazing lb/lm) Can't seem to think of many to be honest, Trezeguet is crap but scores often...
alias75 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Zambrotta is quality but i reckon hed stay in Italy, maybe Trezaguet he is the selfish type of finisher we need but dont think he does enough for the team for Rafa.

Maldini Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Buffon ahead of Pepe?Pepe's class, but Buffon's the best in the world. I wouldn't sign him because he'd cost a fortune and the difference would be negligible for the amount you'd have to spend, he's good enough for us though. There was talk of him going to Milan anyway before this scandal broke.

CarraLegend Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 I'm bored so here goes Buffon - Wouldnt buy him as he'd cost to much money and we already have a top goalie, Buffon is still the boss though although hopefully Pepe can take over Zambrotta - As good as he is I wouldnt want him at right back ahead of Finnan, is 29 so I wouldnt be sure about him for left back either, he is better than Riise though Cannavaro - Best central defender i've ever seen, way to old so it'd be pointless Thuram - To old Chiellini - He's alright and only young but after being quality for Fiorentina he's struggled this season, we've got Riise and Aurelio so wouldnt bother. Camorenesi - Defo have him as a sub right sided player, very underrated although Gerrard is better out there. Vieria - Dont need him and getting on Emerson - See above Nedved - Struggled the last 4-5months, got younger and players with futures in Kewell and Gonzalez Ibrahimovic - Was phenomenol last season, scoring a decent amount and setting up an absolute s***load, struggled at times this season but is better than Crouch so yes. Trezeguet - Defo, a quality goalscorer, better than Cisse and Robbie. People like Blasi, Balzaretti, Zalayeta etc dont deserve to be discussed And Del Piero and Muto - No!
Guest Sabre Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Camoranesi is CR@P Don't be daft. He's god an excellent work rate, superb right foot, very tidy.
Guest Sabre Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Agree mostly with you Carra. It's an understatement to say that Zlatan is 'better than Crouch'. He's everything Crouch would like to be. And in spite of Trezeguet's scoring record, I don't think he's a hard enough worker for Rafa's team. I wouldn't be surprised if Thuram went to Arsenal if Juve need to sell.
Bjarkinn Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 (edited) Del Piero, Zlatan, Cannavaro Edited May 14, 2006 by Bjarkinn
anfield11 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Have Milan been involved in match fixing aswell, have seen several people mentioning it. Geeeez, I hope so......Kaka please!!!
Logic Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Any chance of Juve (and/or Milan) actually being found guilty or relegated? But as for who to buy. Z.L.A.T.A.N. He's everything Crouch wants to be (not a jab at Crouch) and would be perfect for the way Rafa wants us to play.
Frosty Jack Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Getting any of these players to want to live in Liverpool would require jedi mind tricks of a scale I think even Rick Parry cannot deliver.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 I'd take any one of Zambrotta, Zlatan, Trezeguet and Del Piero. Nedved and Camoranesi are good, but not really the kind of players we'd look for on the flanks. Buffon, Cannavaro, Thuram, Emerson and Viera would be superfluous. Not worth sacrificing a model proven to work for such a marginal improvement. And Buffon aside, I am not sure any of those are better than our first 11 anyway.
Guest Makaveli Smith Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Have Milan been involved in match fixing aswell, have seen several people mentioning it. Milan Juve lazio and I think one other team are being investigated but the trouble with Juve is that they have proof. There is a recording of Juve's president on the phone to the Top man at the refs organisation. during the conversation the men come to an agreement and leave nothing to the imagination. If it were any other team they'd certainly be playing Serie B/C football next term, however this is Juve... Agree mostly with you Carra. Crouch and Zlatan are absolutely nothing like eachother... why the comparison?
CarraLegend Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Crouch and Zlatan are absolutely nothing like eachother... why the comparison? Because if we signed him then it'd be Crouch's place he'd be taking at a guess. We need a goalscorer Ibrahimovic isnt one so he'd be in for Crouchy and get partnered by a goalscorer
Guest Red Mist Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Del Piero please. Purely a selfish choice, my favourite Italian footballer since Baggio.
The walters step over Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Juventus are in a whole heap of s*** at the moment due to trying to control referees in Italy over the past few years. According to Gabrielle Marcotti, if the league decide to send them down to the second division (which is apparently VERY possible) then there will be a firesale of players as players activate their relegation release clauses. If there is a chance that we could get the likes of Zlatan and Trezeguet, wouldn't it be better to wait and see how things pan out in Italy, rather than rush things and end up with players like Kuyt and Defoe? And are there any other players that we could use from the Juve squad?
