So far, I've always said that Gerrard was not where was Souness as a player but he's now just about got it. His place in that bracket is now acceptable. I don't lack this patting his name on his back (whatever happened to kissing the badge [souness wouldn't have bothered with any of that sh1 te]) but the boy done good.

He's a feckin' genius. I nearly had a coronary in the 90th minute when he buried that 35-yarder. Never thought he would eclispse Souness as a player, but by christ Carra might just be right.....

Agreed. I never like saying blah blah is the best in the world etc. but Gerrard is simply incredible. He really is.

I can't think of one player anywhere in the world I've seen that I'd rather in midfield instead of Gerrard. No one at all.
