I've no insider knowledge or anything, it just makes sense to me, we need a forward and he's as good as anyone around that's available, he's probably within our budget too.

Don't remember that, we were suppsed to have spoken to him last summer and he said he wanted another year, I reckon he'll move this summer.

Family in Clogsville reckon we've been in fairly consistant contact with him since last summer, and a deal for him is as good as done as such things can be. I hope they're right - and at least we shouldn't have too long to find out. My only fear is a good World Cup may change things, though I suppose from this distance that's always a fear we'll have to live with.

Rafa has said that he's trying to tie up his main signings before the World Cup. I think with our preparations this week it's kinda slowed him up. I'd expect a staetment of some intent on which striker we're after before June.
