Yet another singer on a firearms charge

Folk singer Meic Stevens has appeared in court charged with a public order and a firearms offence.

The 64-year-old, who has been a fixture on the Welsh language folk music scene since the 1960s, appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates on Tuesday.

 

The charges relate to an alleged incident in March this year.

 

Pembrokeshire-born Mr Stevens, who lives in Cardiff, was granted conditional bail and is due to return to court on 24 May.

He was in school with my mum and is a very strange fella. I don't know why he needs a gun as I once met someone who claimed that Meic had cursed him, leading to the bloke not being able to leave his bed for a week.
