CarraLegend Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Not sure where's best to put this as it seems a bit more concrete than speculation so apologies to the mods if i've put it in the wrong place http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/...llo/647085.html Fabio Aurelio jugará las próximas cuatro temporadas en el Liverpool El jugador del Valencia ya tiene claro su futuro: el Liverpool de Rafa Benítez. Fabio Aurelio will play next the four seasons in the Liverpool The player of the Valencia already knows clearly his future: the Liverpool de Rafa Benítez. The Brazilian was one of the quoted men more of the valencianista set and were several the equipment that they wanted to take control of his services, among them Real Madrid, the Villarreal and the Manchester United. Express interest of Rafa Benítez to do with player valencianista has primate more than any other supply which it could receive Fabio Aurelio, whom it has preferred to return to be under the orders of the Spanish technician in Liverpool, with that agreed in Valencia during three seasons. The player arrives frees and already its formation has begun to adapt to the Premier. In fact already it takes to two weeks giving classes of English.
Stevie H Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 we've never had a brasilian player before have we? break out the big samba drums and possibly the sombreros. plus have lots of attractive, scantily-clad females in the crowd.

Benitez Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Mike said: is he f***ing brilliant, good or just average? a huge improvment on Djimi and Warnock, I know that much
CarraLegend Posted May 10, 2006 Author Posted May 10, 2006 Mike said: is he f***ing brilliant, good or just average? He's got a brilliant left foot, thats about as much as I know about him.
fyds Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Mike said: is he f***ing brilliant, good or just average?Seen him on La Liga a fair bit in the last couple of years - when fit is way above average. can be brilliant given a manager who uses him properly. Very solid and reliable type.

Guest The Chunk Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Techincally very good. Has a mean left foot and shot. Good on set pieces. Not the quickest and might struggle in our league. Decent signing on a free...
Stevie H Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Mike said: is he f***ing brilliant, good or just average?according to our kid, who watches spanish football incessantly, aurelio is very, very good. he didn't go as far as 'f***ing brilliant'.
Benitez Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Swipe said: will he be at the world cup? doubt it. He's hardly played for VCF since he decided to leave. So I'm pressuming there that they won't be picking him on the basis that he's hardly played much!
Kenny_ Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I haven't seen much of him but it sounds like a good deal. An improvement on Warnock and Traore and can put some pressure on Riise, who's done well at LB this season. A bit like what happened at RB, where Kromkamp so far has shown himself as a better back-up for Finnan than Josemi.

Is/was he good enough to get into Brasil team/squad when he was playing regularly at Balenica?

McBain Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I knew all those rumours about Atletico were made up ...

I'm assuming of course that he worked with Benitez at Valencia.

Not even sure if he's been capped at full international level tbh, there is a bit of competition for that left back role I know he played for Brazil in the olympics though.
