Happy birthday God 1975 - Robbie Fowler was born in Toxteth. He scored 171 goals in 330 reds appearances in his first spell at Anfield, winning UEFA Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup and two League Cups. He re-signed on a short-term contract in January 2006, striking a further twelve times in 39 games to become our fifth top all-time goalscorer, before moving on to Cardiff City in July 2007. 1995 - He was presented with the first of two consecutive PFA Young Player of the Year awards on his twentieth birthday. 2006 - Robbie scored on his 31st birthday, grabbing the only goal of our Premiership defeat of Bolton Wanderers at Anfield on the stroke of half time, our hundredth League goal under Rafael Benítez. 1965 - Former Assistant Manager Colin Pascoe was born in Port Talbot. He followed Brendan Rodgers to Anfield from Swansea City in the summer of 2012, being sacked in June 2015, just four months before his boss. 1904 - England international full-back and reds skipper Tom Cooper was born in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent. He signed from Derby County for £7,500 in December 1934 but never scored in his 160 reds games and died on military duty in June 1940. 1994 – Former left-back Brad Smith was born in Penrith, Australia. He struck once in eleven senior games before moving on to Bournemouth for £6m in July 2016. On the way to Wembley 1988 - We beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 at Hillsborough in the FA Cup Semi-final, thanks to a John Aldridge brace that included a penalty as well as a strike that was later voted as the BBC’s Goal of the Season, with future red Nigel Clough bagging Forest’s consolation. This was our 4,000th first-class fixture as Steve Nicol played his 200th game for the reds. 1955 - We also faced Forest, losing a Second Division match 3-1 at the City Ground, with Billy Liddell netting and centre-half Alex South playing his seventh and final reds game. James Barrett bagged the first two of his four goals against the reds, with Jackie French also on target past us. Endings and a beginning 1994 - Full-back Julian Dicks scored a penalty to win our League fixture with Ipswich Town. This was our last first-team goal in front of the standing Kop, and his third and final reds goal. The game kicked off at 11:30am to avoid clashing with the Grand National. 1983 – David Fairclough grabbed his 55th and final reds goal, coming off the bench in our 3-0 defeat of Swansea City at Anfield. Ian Rush and Sammy Lee had already scored. Current Assistant Manager Colin Pascoe made his full debut for the Swans in this game. 1921 – Full-back Ted Parry debuted as we drew 0-0 at Derby County. Heading towards Madrid 2019 – We beat Porto 2-0 in the first leg of our UEFA Champions League Quarter-final at Anfield, en route to claiming the trophy for the sixth time in Madrid. Naby Keïta and Roberto Firmino were both on target inside the opening half hour. Out of the Champions League 2002 - Michael Owen missed several good chances while playing his 200th reds game as we went crashing out of the Champions League at the Quarter-final stage. The game in the BayArena swung one way and then another, as we eventually lost 4-2 to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on the night, and 4-3 on aggregate. Our goals came from Abel Xavier and Jari Litmanen, with these being their final reds strikes. Michael Ballack bagged a brace for the home side, with Dimitar Berbatov bagging the first of his five goals against the reds and Lúcio also on target. Most recently 2023 – League leaders Arsenal took a two-goal lead at Anfield through Gabriel Martinelli struck one of his five goals past us to date with Gabriel Jesus nabbing the most recent of his six against the reds. Mohamed Salah netted before the break but then missed a penalty. Roberto Firmino bagged a late leveller as the Gunners hung on for a point. A debut to be sure 1995 - Young Irish winger Mark Kennedy made his reds debut in our 1-0 home League defeat by Leeds United as Brian Deane struck one of his eight goals past us. Disaster at Goodison 1909 - Everton thumped five goals past Sam Hardy in the Liverpool goal without reply, in a First Division encounter. This remains our worst defeat at Goodison Park. Bertie Freeman scored the first two of his nine goals against us, with Tim Coleman nabbing one of his five and Bob Turner and Wattie White also netting. Trebles galore 1917 - Fred Pagnam and Donald McKinlay both bagged trebles as we thumped Southport Central 7-0 in a Wartime League match at Ash Lane. Arthur Goddard nabbed the other. 1901 - Sam Raybould struck three as we won 4-3 at Cumberland in a friendly, with Jack Cox also on the scoresheet. 2004 - Thierry Henry scored three of his nine strikes against the reds as we lost 4-2 at Arsenal despite twice leading, through Sami Hyypiä and Michael Owen. Robert Pires scored the home side’s other goal, one of his four past us. 1932 - We also faced the Gunners, with Ted Hancock bagging his second and final reds goal and Danny McRorie also on target in a 2-1 victory, with Jack Lambert scoring one of his seven goals against the reds. Three times against City 2005 - We lost 1-0 at the City Of Manchester Stadium in our 500th Premier League match, falling to a late Kiki Musampa goal. We have also twice hosted Manchester City in top-flight matches on this day in history. 1949 - We lost 1-0, with Bob Paisley reaching a century of League outings for the club. 1977 - Kevin Keegan and Steve Heighway were on target in a 2-1 Easter Saturday win to move us three points ahead of the visitors. Brian Kidd netted for City, one of his six goals against the reds. Mixed fortunes against Spurs 2000 - We defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at Anfield, thanks to goals from Patrik Berger and Michael Owen. 1965 - We went down 3-0 at White Hart Lane in another top-flight meeting with half-back Willie Stevenson reaching a century of League appearances for the reds. Alf’s half ton 1938 – Outside-left Alf Hanson bagged his fiftieth reds goal in our 4-2 top-flight victory over Blackpool at Anfield. Phil Taylor and Berry Nieuwenhuys also netted, with Willie Fagan converting a penalty. International debuts 1938 - Preston North End’s Bill Shankly made his Scotland debut as they lost 1-0 to England at Wembley in the British International Championships, which was the first international to be screened live on BBC television. His clubmate, full-back Andy Beattie also played. Beattie went on to guest for the reds during the war, before linking up with Shanks again at Huddersfield Town, as well as joining our backroom staff later in life. 1960 – Andy Beattie managed Scotland, picking future red Ian St. John for their 1-1 British International Championships draw with England at Hampden Park. 1921 - Reds centre-forward Robert Matthews won his first official cap for Wales as they beat Ireland 2-1 in Swansea in the same competition, with clubmates Elisha Scott and Billy Lacey on the losing side. International endings 1904 - Future reds forward Ronald ‘Wee’ Orr won his second and final cap for Scotland as they lost 1-0 to England in the British International Championships at Celtic Park. Future clubmate Alex Raisbeck was his skipper that day. 1921 - Ex-red Tom Miller won his third and last Scotland cap as they beat England 3-0 at Hampden Park in the same competition. Reds forward Harry ‘Smiler’ Chambers played for the away side. Other reds games 1991 – Coventry City held us to a 1-1 draw at Anfield with Ian Rush on the scoresheet. 1966 – We shared a goalless draw with Northampton Town at their County Ground. 1960 – We lost a Second Division match 2-0 at Leyton Orient. 1927 – Dick Edmed bagged the only goal of our trip to West Bromwich Albion very late on. 1910 – Jimmy Stewart and Jack Parkinson struck as we beat Notts County 2-1 in L4. 1906 – We beat Newcastle United 3-0 at home. Jack Parkinson struck twice, with Sam Raybould also scoring. 1900 – Sam Raybould nabbed a brace as Bury lost 2-0 at Anfield. Signing on 2024 – Left-back Calum Scanlon a new contract, having already made two senior appearances since arriving from Birmingham City for £550,000 in December 2020 at the age of fifteen. 2010 - Pepe Reina signed a new contract until 2016. He kept an impressive 177 clean sheets in 394 reds outings, moving on to Bayern München for £2m in August 2014 after a season on loan at SSC Napoli. 1991 - Nick Barmby signed as a professional for Tottenham Hotspur. He went on to bag 28 goals in 110 Spurs games before moving to Middlesbrough for £5.25m in August 1995. Other internationals in action 2009 – Conor Coady featured for England Under-16’s in their 3-0 defeat of United Arab Emirates in the Montaigu Tournament. 2002 - Roy Hodgson was appointed Manager of United Arab Emirates, remaining in charge until January 2004. 1993 – Future red Brad Friedel kept a clean sheet in the USA’s 2-0 friendly win in Saudi Arabia. 1989 - Future red Ronnie Rosenthal netted in Israel’s 2-2 World Cup qualifying draw with New Zealand in Auckland. 1986 – Ex-red Mike Newell played for England Under-21’s as they lost 2-0 to Italy in the first leg of their European Championships Semi-final in Pisa. 1932 – Future reds left-back Ernie Blenkinsop captained England for the second of four occasions in their 3-0 defeat of Scotland in the British International Championships at Wembley, with future reds forward Tosh Johnson also on the winning side. 1927 – Elisha Scott kept goal for Ireland as they drew 2-2 with Wales in the British International Championships in Cardiff. David’s farewell 2011 - David Fairclough’s wife Jan died, following a brain haemorrhage.

A treble for the King 1978 - Kenny Dalglish scored a hat-trick as we won 3-1 at Wrexham in a Fifth Round League Cup tie. We went all the way to the Final that season, for the first time, where we lost to Nottingham Forest after a replay. Phil Thompson debuted his dodgy perm in this game! Happy birthday Al 1983 - Álvaro Arbeloa was born in Salamanca. He signed from Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña for £2.64m in January 2007, and featured 98 times across the defence, as well as notching two goals. He returned to his native Spain to sign for Real Madrid for £3.5m in July 2009. New signings 2000 - Markus Babbel signed a pre-contract agreement to join the reds from Bayern München that summer. He became a vital member of the treble-winning team, until he was struck down by Guillain-Barré syndrome. 2009 – Swedish reserves midfielder Alexander Kačaniklić signed professional terms, although he failed to make the first team before moving to Fulham as part of the Paul Konchesky deal in August 2010. 1936 - Forward Jimmy Collins signed from Walsall for £2,500, but failed to score in seven reds games before joining Cardiff City the following May, for whom he bagged forty goals in 75 League outings. A thousand up 1925 - We played our 1,000th League game, with Frank Roberts scoring four times for Manchester City, the last of his six past us, as they trounced us 5-0 at Maine Road. Max Woosnam netted the other goal. Our other two meetings with City on this day in history both resulted in 1-0 away wins. 1987 - Ian Rush struck at Maine Road. 1953 - We were beaten at Anfield, with Bobby Cunliffe on target as full-back Steve Parr played his twentieth and last reds game. Jonah’s farewell 2004 - Paul Jones played his second and final reds game as we lost 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur. A Harry Kewell strike was not enough to give us any points after Igor Bišcan had given away a penalty, netted by future red Robbie Keane, the first of his five goals against us, and a second Spurs goal from Helder Postiga, his only Premiership strike. Michael Owen played his 200th League game for the reds this day. 1931 – Archie McPherson scored our goal as we lost 2-1 at Huddersfield Town, with Joe Robson netting twice for the Terriers as South African half-back Charlie Thompson played his sixth and final reds game. Most recently 2023 – Harvey Elliott struck the only goal of our FA Cup Third Round replay at Wolverhampton Wanderers. 2021 – League leaders Manchester United held us to a goalless draw behind closed doors at Anfield as Jordan Henderson and Fabinho had to both play in central defence due to an ongoing injury crisis. This was Jürgen Klopp’s 200th League game in charge as we reached a new club record of 68 consecutive League games at home without tasting defeat. Unfortunately, we went on to lose the next six in a row. 2016 – We lost to United with Wayne Rooney grabbing the only goal of the game, United’s hundredth at Anfield, one of his seven past us. 2015 – Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert both bagged their last reds goals as we won 2-0 at Aston Villa. More happy birthdays 1985 - Defender Arnaud Bühler was born in Baulmes. He apparently signed for the reds in summer 2003, spending most of his career in his native Switzerland. 1978 - Ex-reserves defender Frode Kippe was born in Oslo. He made just two first-team appearances while at Anfield, both from off the bench in the Worthington Cup, moving to Lillestrøm back in his native Norway in February 2002. 1915 – Scottish forward Alexander Smith was born in Buckie, Banffshire. He signed from Buckie Thistle for £150 in February 1937, but only played once for the reds. 1882 – Left-half Samuel Hignett was born in Liverpool. He only made one senior appearance, in a 1-0 home victory over Sunderland in October 1907 after arriving from a local side in April 1905. He left the club in January 1911. Tiny’s last goal 1934 - Centre-half Tom ‘Tiny’ Bradshaw netted his fourth and final reds goal, a late leveller in our FA Cup Third Round replay at Fulham. Alf Hanson had also scored as the game ended 2-2 after ninety minutes, with Syd Roberts grabbing our extra-time winner. John’s bow 1903 – Forward John Carlin played his first reds game as we lost 1-0 at Stoke in a First Division encounter. Big Cup win 1923 - We thumped the Gunners 4-1 at Highbury in an FA Cup First Round replay after the first game at Anfield had ended goalless four days earlier. Harry Chambers bagged a brace, with Donald McKinlay converting a penalty. Dick Johnson also struck when Arsenal’s keeper Jock Robson was chased by a stray dog while carrying the ball, kicking it straight to Johnson! Reds keeper Elisha Scott saved a spot-kick from Robert Turnbull, who had previously headed in for the home side. Moving on 2003 - Bernard Diomède joined AC Ajaccio on loan, two and a half years and just five appearances after signing from Auxerre for £3m. 2015 – Spanish midfielder Suso left Anfield to sign for AC Milan, after one goal in 21 reds games. On the same day, reserves right-back Connor Randall joined Shrewsbury Town on loan, although he only made one substitute appearance for the Shrews. 2018 – Serbian midfielder Marko Grujić joined Cardiff City on loan, netting once in fourteen outings as the Bluebirds secured promotion to the Premier League. 2022 - Jordon Ibe signed for Turkish side Adanaspor, although he left the club later that year having failed to make a senior appearance. Signing on 2019 – Left-back Andy Robertson signed a new contract. He struck eleven goals in 297 outings across his first seven seasons since arriving for an initial £8m from Hull City in July 2017, so far helping us to claim the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, two League Cups and FA Community Shield. On the same day, centre-half Ozan Kabak joined VfB Stuttgart from Galatasaray after eighteen games for the Turkish side. Derby despair 1914 - Everton left Anfield with a 2-1 League win with Arthur Metcalf grabbing our consolation as Bobby Parker bagged the first two of his seven goals against the reds. Gary’s farewell 2012 – Gary Ablett’s funeral took place at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, following his sad death aged just 46. 2024 – Centre-half Alex South died. He struck once in just seven appearances after signing from his hometown club Brighton & Hove Albion for £5,000 in December 1954, before moving on to Halifax Town in October 1956, for whom he racked up over three hundred games. Reds in trouble 2011 - Ryan Babel was fined £10,000 after admitting an FA charge for improper conduct relating to tweeting about referee Howard Webb after the recent FA Cup defeat at Manchester United. 2018 – Right-back Jon Flanagan was sentenced to unpaid work and a community order for assaulting his girlfriend. Joy against the Blades We have twice faced Sheffield United in First Division matches on this day in history, without being beaten. 1920 - Tom Miller and Harry Lewis netted as we won 2-0 at Anfield. 1976 - We were held to a goalless draw at Bramall Lane. Tommy’s run 1970 - Keeper Tommy Lawrence played in his 116th consecutive League game, with Chris Lawler notching in a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield, and Tony Brown bagging one of his eight goals against the reds. He then lost his place to Ray Clemence. Steven and Luis honoured 2006 - Steven Gerrard and Luis García were both named in the prestigious UEFA team of 2005 after attracting the most votes in their respective positions, with Jamie Carragher just missing out. Lawro at the wrong end 1984 – Mark Lawrenson put through his own net as we were held to a 2-2 draw at Sheffield Wednesday in the Fifth Round of the Milk Cup, although we of course went on to claim the trophy for a fourth successive season. Phil Neal converted from the spot to add to a Steve Nicol goal, with Gary Megson also on target for the Owls. Boss against boss 1942 - Future reds boss Don Welsh played as England beat Scotland 3-0 in a Wartime international at Wembley Stadium. The Scottish line-up included reds half-back Matt Busby and Bill Shankly. Other reds games 1998 – We held Leicester City to a goalless draw at Filbert Street. 1981 – Terry McDermott netted the only goal of our trip to Norwich City. 1979 – We beat Southend United 3-0 in an FA Cup Third Round replay at Anfield. Jimmy Case struck before Kenny Dalglish finally scored after a thirteen-game drought. Ray Kennedy netted the third as we progressed as far as the Semi-final that season. 1948 – We lost 3-0 at Burnley. Djibril on target 2001 - Future red Djibril Cissé struck on his debut for France Under-20’s as they beat Yugoslavia 2-0 in a friendly at Clairefontaine. Grégory Vignal also won his first cap at this level. Fellow future red Yossi Benayoun was also in international action that day. 2017 – Future red Mohamed Salah was booked as Egypt were held to a goalless draw in their opening Africa Cup of Nations group game against Mali in Gabon as they went on the reach the Final. 2010 - Ex-red Rigobert Song featured for Cameroon in their 3-2 defeat of Zambia in a group game in Angola. 1967 – Roy Evans played for England Youth in an encounter with the Arsenal Under-19’s at Highbury. 1997 – Brad Friedel played for the USA as they lost a friendly 1-0 to Peru in San Diego. 2019 – Future red Wataru Endō played for Japan in their 2-1 AFC Asian Cup defeat of Uzbekistan in Qatar.

He signed from Bayer 04 Leverkusen for £9.75m in July 2014, netting fourteen times in 167 reds games before moving on to Juventus on a free transfer in June 2018. 1887 – Forward Jimmy Nicholl was born in Port Glasgow. He signed from Middlesbrough in January 1914, bagging fourteen goals in 59 outings before moving on to Wishaw Thistle in 1915. He had featured in our FA Cup Final defeat to Burnley in April 1914. 1975 – First Assistant Coach Sipke Hulshoff was born in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. He followed Arne Slot to Anfield, having worked together since 2015. 2004 – German midfielder Melkamu Frauendorf was born in Kembata, Ethiopia. He signed from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in August 2020, scoring as we lost the FA Youth Cup Final in May 2021. He made his senior bow in our FA Cup tie against Shrewsbury Town in January 2022. He made one more senior appearance before being released in June 2024, signing for Hannover 96 later that month. 2006 – Spanish centre-half Wellity Lucky was born in Zaragoza. He arrived as an Under-13 player, turning professional in April 2023. Dan the man 2006 - Daniel Agger signed from Brøndby IF for £5.8m. He played 232 games, notching fourteen times, helping us to claim the FA Community Shield and League Cup before returning to his former club in Denmark in August 2014. On the same day, reserves keeper David Martin signed from MK Dons for £250,000. He returned there permanently in May 2010 after failing to make a senior appearance, although he sat on the reds bench on nineteen occasions. Red centurions 2019 – Sadio Mané reached a century for the reds as Mohamed Salah bagged the only goal of the game at Brighton & Hove Albion from the spot, with the home side failing to register a shot on target. 2008 - Xabi Alonso played his hundredth League game for the reds as we were held to a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough. He came on for Yossi Benayoun after an hour when we were a goal down courtesy of George Boateng before Fernando Torres rescued a point with a long-range strike. 1980 – Ray Kennedy played his 200th League game for the reds as we were held to a 1-1 draw at Anfield by Southampton, with Terry McDermott scoring from the spot. 1929 – Right-back Jimmy ‘Parson’ Jackson reached a century of reds appearances in our 2-0 FA Cup Third Round win at Bristol City. Forward Bill Salisbury bagged his third and final reds goal, with Gordon Hodgson also netting in the second half. A treble to make anyone smile 1927 - Harry ‘Smiler’ Chambers bagged a hat-trick as we beat Third Division South side Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic 4-1 in an FA Cup Third Round replay at Anfield. Outside-left Fred Hopkin netted the other goal. We went out to Arsenal in the Fifth Round that season. Happy Cup memories We have won all eleven of our FA Cup ties on this day. 1935 - We beat non-League Yeovil & Petters United 6-2 in front of a record crowd of 11,830 at Huish Park, despite scouser Tommy McNeil giving Yeovil the lead inside five minutes, and the score being level at the break, through a deflected Berry Nieuwenhuys strike. Gordon Hodgson and Syd Roberts both netted twice for the reds, to add to a goal from Dave Wright. Yeovil’s McNeil also ended the game with a brace. Hodgson’s first strike was our 200th in the competition, with Roberts’ being his thirteenth and last goal for the club. Unfortunately, we went out to Blackburn Rovers at the next hurdle. 1921 - We won 2-1 at Manchester United in a First Round replay when Billy Lacey and Harry Chambers were on target as we came from behind while wearing a rare blue and white kit. However, we lost to Newcastle United in the next round. South for the first time 1955 - Centre-back Alex South made the first of his seven reds appearances as we won our FA Cup Third Round replay against Lincoln City at Anfield in extra time. John Evans bagged the only goal, having scored in the first game as well as being sent off. We made it to the Fifth Round before being knocked out by Huddersfield Town at Anfield. 1991 – Winger Jimmy Carter made his reds bow as a substitute for Ronnie Rosenthal in our goalless draw at Aston Villa as Kenny Dalglish took charge for the 300th time. Beating the Potters 1988 - Peter Beardsley netted the only goal of our FA Cup Third Round replay against Stoke City from just outside the area. 2014 – We triumphed 5-3 at the Britannia Stadium, our first League win there. Ryan Shawcross diverted an Aly Cissokho shot into his own net before Luis Suárez doubled our lead after half an hour. However, ex-reds Peter Crouch and Charlie Adam levelled the scores before the break, with the former netting one of his four strikes against the reds. Steven Gerrard converted a penalty with Suárez adding his second before Jon Walters bagged one of his seven goals past us. Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to complete the scoring late on. Beaten by the seaside 2011 – We lost 2-1 at Blackpool in our first trip there since August 1970. Fernando Torres gave us an early lead before Gary Taylor-Fletcher and DJ Campbell both struck for the home side. Heading off 1963 – Left-half Tommy Leishman left the reds to join Hibernian. He had arrived from St. Mirren for £10,000 in November 1949, helping us back to the First Division in 1962, bagging a total of seven goals in 118 reds games, including our first ever League Cup strike. 1966 - Inside-forward John ‘Sailor’ Hunter died. The Scottish international bagged twelve goals in 45 reds games after signing from Abercorn in 1899. 1985 – South African half-back Hugh Gerhardi committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. He signed from Johannesburg-based Thistle in August 1952 but only played six senior games before returning to his homeland after just one season. Gary Mac steps down 2004 - Gary McAllister resigned as Manager of Coventry City to care for his seriously ill wife Denise. He had been on compassionate leave after she suffered a setback in her battle against cancer, but then decided to quit permanently. Sadly, she passed away soon after. Alf off target 1938 - Outside-left Alf Hanson missed a penalty in the first half as we beat Third Division South outfit Crystal Palace 3-1 after extra time in our FA Cup Third Round replay at Anfield. Ernie Waldron gave the visitors the lead, before John Shafto sent the tie into extra time. The Eagles’ Nick Collins scored an own goal, before Willie Fagan converted a late penalty. Unfortunately, the reds were later forced to apologise by the FA after making some disparaging comments about Palace in the programme. We only made it as far as the Fifth Round that season, being knocked out by Huddersfield Town at Anfield, who went all the way to the Final. Stevie’s new deal 2012 – Steven Gerrard signed a new contract, tying him to the club until 2014. He eventually stayed until the summer of 2015. On the move 2024 – Forward Paul Glatzel left the reds to sign for Swindon Town, scoring seven times in nineteen outings before the end of that campaign. He moved up to Melwood in the summer of 2006 and was back-up keeper to David Martin. Lawler’s night 1978 - A testimonial match for full-back Chris Lawler was staged with the reds defeating Swansea City 3-2 at Anfield, thanks to a Kenny Dalglish brace and a strike by Graeme Souness, with Welsh rugby union star Gareth Edwards featuring for the Swans. Managing Director Ian Ayre, then aged just fourteen, took a penalty at half-time, having won a competition. Lawler made 549 appearances in sixteen years at Anfield, scoring 61 times, and helping us to two League titles, the UEFA Cup, FA Cup and FA Charity Shield. Fifty for Terry 1980 – Terry McDermott’s penalty was his fiftieth reds goal as we were held to a 1-1 draw at Anfield by Ipswich Town, with Frans Thijssen netting for the visitors.
