  1. Rather be clueless than deluded.
  2. Out played them? How? We passed it around the back for 2/3 of the game. They sat off us because they know we can't string a decent move together if our lives depended on it. We got lucky with the goal. The few chances we did have, and they were excellent chances, we didn't even have to work for. THAT'S how bad that Lyon side was and yet in the second half we mustered one chance. Ya, outplayed them alright.
  3. Yep. Whatever mate. I pity the fans who think a performance like that is acceptable or anywhere near good enough. Unlucky? Sure. But we were lucky ourselves that Babel pulled a rabbit out of his a***. Rafa simply doesn't know how to setup a side that can stick to his rigid game-plan AND win games consistently. Sooner he goes the better now. I'd rather gamble now than wallow in the mire of of his s*** dull cowardly football.
  4. Simply not good enough. We were still relying on that moment of sheer individual brilliance because even at 0-0 we didn't even look like we wanted it. Utterly pathetic.
  5. He's just ordinary at nearly everything, brilliant at nothing. Only has a great game one in ten. For such a vital position in the team, at a club like Liverpool, you really need someone with a bit of character, someone to take the game by the scruff of the neck rather than watch is pass him by. Sure he keeps the ball well enough, thought he's scared stiff to turn on it most times and it invariably goes right back the way it came. We need much much better.
  6. Nah, think that's rubbish. What's more important is qualifying for the tournament, latter stages are just a bonus. 4th in the League is the priority.
  7. Lame and tired? What about this...... I see that getting trotted out all over the place and it's truly truly desperate reasoning. One you can't argue either way, so why bring it up? So if that isn't "lazy and tired" i don't know what is.
  8. Jesus, that's a shocking revelation. The opposition happy? To let a centreback have the ball? Who'd a thunk it? Far more worrying was Fulham being happy to let Voronin, Kuyt, Lucas and MAscherano to have the ball.
  9. Surely the priority for Rafa is finishing 4th this season? There's not much money to be made for advancing past the group stages. The budgets will be made on us simply making the CL every season.
  10. There's that too. But how does that explain the same s**** being served up when those players play too? Hmm? But Riera? In what way is Riera part of our creative spine? He's another mediocre signing that looked good to start with, but now looks completly bogged down in Rafa tactics. I remember he had a spark about him, a trick, a clever back heel. We've not see that for months. We're already seeing signs of the same thing in Johnson and Insua. Babel's already been lost. But it just goes to show how reliant we are on the individual rather than the team. So again, Rafa has failed, probably hasn't even really tried, to instil some kind, any kind, of footballing philosophy the five years he's been at the club. the shackles came off last season when we looked like losing touch with United all together, and we played some great stuff. Then they came back on to start this season and lo and behold we're back to the turgid cowardly football.
  11. What's bewildering is with all that possession we managed to create very little. But really what does he expect? There's no footballing philosophy other than run around a lot? So.......he's no right to feel bewildered. He should have a style of play in place by now. The fact he hasn't is the most damning aspect of Rafa's tenure so far.
  12. No, you're not. Most damning and depressing of all is Voronin is one of the few players we had available with a bit of a footballing brain. People would clearly prefer watch Dirk Kuyt flounder for 90 minutes or Babel run around with his head up his a***.
  13. Think he's miles off the pace meself. To be expected really. Got caught badly for their first too. Gets sucked towards the ball when he should be aware of where Zomora is.
  14. It's funny how bad we are defensively yet people won't come out and say what a liability Carra has been this season too.
  15. Am i wrong? No. We've seen this s**** for too long now. Why has Kuyt been left on the pitch when he hasn't made a pass or controlled a ball all night? We've controlled the majority of the game with little to show for it. How come? There's no ideas in that team, no movements, no understanding. He's into his 6th f***ing season ans STILL we have these shortcomings? It's ridiculous.
  16. He has to go. He's had five years now to get a style of football in place and he's failed miserably. We've some outstanding players who'll hide that glaring weakness most times. But on days like today it's painfully predictable to play against us. No invention, no coherency. Just headless chickens running themselves into the ground. Not good enough Rafa. Please leave.
  17. Why in the f*** has Kuyt been allowed stay on the pitch? This is the problem with Rafa, blind faith in some, and others absolutely no trust in. He's been less than useless. And now look. Yossi off. Utterly utterly inexcusable. f*** off!!!
  18. Barring a miracle, Rafa needs to be on his way at the end of the season. He's failed to find that balance between attack and fdefence, continues to show too much trust in pure average-ness(Carra, Kuyt), his dealings in the last few windows have been nothing short of embarasing. And most of all, those players aren't playing for HIM!! Masche wants away, he forced Xabi and Sami out of the club. He has to go. Sooner the better.
  19. I'm aware of that. That was what? Two seasons ago? Though i think we played it at Portsmouth last season also. Point is we rarely ever us it. And given who was out, even before the game, a plainly baffling decision to me.
  20. Agreed. Don't particularly rate the lad but coming into that complete mess wouldn't have been easy. Doesn't heopl when thel ad next to him simply aint up to the task either. I'm still scratching my head as to why we played such a bizarre alien formation. Rafa trying to be too clever for his own good i guess.
  21. He could have played Masch, he didn't have to play that joke formation then either. What is the "plan" i always ask myself when i see us chase a game like that. Compare it to the other top sides. Chelsea, United, Arsenal, they all go about their business with a bit f purpose. Us? Headless chickens with no f***ing clue. Throw men forward and hope to not get done on the counter, which nearly happened more than once this evening. It's sad to see us being reduced to this. It's pitiful, it's embarrassing. It's simply. NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH.
  22. That four year contract for Rafa not looking like the best idea right about now. I'm just fed up with him now tbh. Squad is a mess after five years of building. We still, as a team, have no clear idea how to go about dismantling teams. All this after five f***ing years.
  23. Masch will be gone in the Summer i'm fairly convinced. Not that arsed about it either really. Playing the system we do, he's ben asked to do a job that isn't his best, he'll always be a good combative mid-fielder for us though. But it would be nice to have someone that could contribute something going forward from the middle of the park. Maybe when Aquiani gets playing we'll see -----Masch Aquilani--Gerrard If not, sell him on, or take Yaya Toure from Barca in exchange.
  24. He also said "So are we looking at Faisal owning 75% of the club?" Who is this reliable poster anyway? What's his connection?
  25. It's a ludicrous law were it to come in. Squads are one thing, but FIFA dictating who clubs can and can't play, on any given day is just going too f***ing far imo.
