No-one unless they are a mega-rich fan with more money than sense is going to throw millions into this club and not expect nothing back in return. They gave Kenny a huge chunk and in he wasted it on average players with superstar salaries. Who can blame them for being more cautious this time around ? If we'd of got top 4 last season then things would have been so different because the return on their investment would have been evident for all to see and it would have gave them confidence to support the manager during another window. Rodgers is their first real appointment, Hodgson was already here, Kenny was forced upon them, in the way that he was the only person acceptable at the time. They gave him a small contract which looked more like a token reward for getting us out of the s***, and gave him a lot of money. Last season was dire, and I know we got to Wembley and we won the Carling Cup, but the league is the bread and butter and we failed badly. As a result of mismanagement over several years, Rodgers is now left with a re-building job that will probably take just as long if not longer to repair. But with him being FSG's first appointment I believe they will back him as much as possible, and I think we've seen this already with Skrtel staying and now more than likely Agger. They are backing the manager and in turn backing the club. Rodgers and FSG have taken over a vintage car that is in badly in need of repair, and not only does the car need repairing, the garage also needs upgrading or a new one, and it's going to take a long long time to sort one out never mind both.
