Of course he can. If someone gets injured in injury time itself, or if substitutions take place, then the ref has to add on time to take that into account. As the man said, the amount of time displayed is the minimum that will be played.

Aw cmon. It was Ashley Cole. Fair's fair. Actually I was there on Saturday. Ashley Cole bottled out of three or four fifty-fifty challenges - I never realised he was such a wimp. Of course the one challenge he does go for, someone tries to break his leg.

haha Was going to post something about this myself. Wilson, yet again, shows he really has a chip on his shoulder when it comes to us. The "succession of chances" (i.e. two) and "Liverpool could have had no complaints had they been two goals down" comments are just plain ridiculous. It's as if he genuinely ignores every good thing we do, and simply concentrates on any chances the opposition creates. What I can't fathom though, is given that there are ten frigging games every week, more often that not this pillock is chosen to write our game review. My heart sinks when I open the paper and see his name against our game, because I know it's going to wind me up.

Just because he's the last man doesn't mean he has to be sent off. It's only a sending off if a clear goal scoring chance is denied, which certainly wasn't the case. A sending off would have been ridiculous.

That's indeed what they tend to do. Trouble is you (potentially) need a lot of stewards. I guess they could have automated machines punters can use to scan their card themselves. Would probably work OK.

A good point. Current systems based on Fortress GB (a card entry system widely used by football clubs) usually work by selling a season ticket on your card (rather than individual games) and printing your 'permanent' seats onto the card itself. They normally let you do things like change seats for particular games and whatnot, but I can't say I'm sure how they deal with the fact you'd be sitting in different seats. Most likely they'd simply cancel the season ticket game on your card and print out a ticket for your new seats. Selling individual games onto such cards would need something that allows you to check where you're seating and what turnstyle to use. I guess they could just print out a receipt for you when you buy your tickets, and if you forget you could have the card "checked" when you get to the stadium.

Surprised to see Arsenal so far down the list. Thought they'd be a good deal higher with the "fantasy football" they play.

From the replay Bellamy's goal was clearly just offside (this "daylight" rule people think exists being a fiction) and was the correct decision. Other than that the ref and linesman were rubbish. For Bowyer's chance in the second half there was a clear offside in the build up (when Reina went ballistic) and the linesman, all of 5 yards away, didn't see it.
