Difficult to tell from the angle of the replay but the ball may have been ahead of Smallbone - was difficult to tell. I'd be surprised if they checked it because it didn't take 5 mins to make the decision.

    I mean, the answer to that is no, I don't think FIFA care. They probably see this WCC thing as a way of appeasing the Super League wannabes and could not care less how it affects anything else. I can imagine all the Aussie teams they play against will be pissed off though.

    I was wondering how the feck that is going to affect all the s*** teams that are in that abominable thing. I mean Man City and Chelsea will get some obscene pay-out, sure, but there'll be a bunch of other clubs like Auckland City FC that will get tens of millions at least you'd have thought. How's that going to f*** up their domestic competition?
