  1. I know you weren't trying to absolve them, but they know because of that they wouldn't use that reasoing and tell us.
  2. But who took the loans out?
  3. It needs to be treated with caution I agree. But would be wrong to burn all bridges. He said he would try and come to a mass meeting as well, and I hope some time he will be able to so members can speak to him.
  4. He answered the financial questions on the whole though, so there wasn't really anything he had to come back with. We are always mentioning about the lack of funds for transfers and that player sales isn't reinvested. And on the catch up meeting, I already answered that question earlier in the thread. Yes it was.
  5. As has been said by others, we have had enough proof other than Media articles that we have no money to spend. And as we said, Let them prove us wrong.
  6. Its always a question that needs to be asked really as it relates to them announcing they are looking for investment. Who knows what Purslow will say on it. But we shouldn't be finding out from comments in passing, we should be finding out from the club direct. I was told by Liverpool Planning Office it was pretty much exactly a three year build so to be ready for the start of a season that building would have to start in the first part of the year, which goes along with the part in that article about building starting before April. Unless there is a change in the timeline for the build to what the Planning Office told me a start date in the latter part of the year would mean the stadium would remain vacant for longer than necessary.
  7. We are hoping to get a meeting with him at some point soon as he said he would do last time. That question will be something that will be asked. Members will be informed if we manage to set a date with him. It was only mentioned by Warren Bradley in passing in an Echo Article. If he was that sure then I'm sure we would all be told about it. On the new site they have the pictures of the 73k stadium that they haven't even submitted the planning application for yet so it doesn't fill you with confidence. Even if they have somehow managed to find a way how to build it, questions need to be asked about how it would be funded as it would increase the debt further. That is all for another thread another time though.
  8. Exactly. There has been a lot of misinformation, which we are still trying to clear up. One thing is for sure that Foster didn't have his nice usual matchday experience, so that will get fed back to his Dad and his ex-uncle Tom.
  9. Video from Sunday here: http://www.spiritofshankly.com/news/Sunday...test-Video.html
  10. James McKenna. He is the direct action officer and the one who did the majority of the plans for Sunday. He doesn most of our media stuff.
  11. Three Spirit of Shankly members arrested at Liverpool FC protest Dec 15 2009 Liverpool Daily Post THREE people were arrested during a protest against Liverpool’s American owners at Anfield on Sunday. Up to 200 fans took part in the Spirit of Shankly demonstration outside all four corners of the stadium, ahead of the match against Arsenal. A game of cat-and-mouse emerged from around 2pm, following rumours that both Tom Hicks and George Gillett would attend the fixture. Angry supporters were keen to identify which vehicle could be transporting the two owners into the stadium to direct their frustrations towards them. The protest was described by both the organisers and police as peaceful. However, three people were arrested for public order offences. Two of them were charged and another received a fine. In the event neither of the owners went to the match, although Foster Gillett, who sits on the Liverpool board, was in the stands. A spokesman for the Spirit of Shankly said: “We wanted to point out their continuing mismanagement and remind them they are not welcome here.” http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverp...92534-25391499/
  12. Not sure. Assume it will have gone to them. I got that out late last night, and have sent it to Jay who usually does all the media stuff to send out. So when we sees it he will get it sent round all the media contacts he has. Starting to appear in places now though.
  13. Foster Gillett got in later.
  14. Possibly some point in the future, but I don't think I am ready for it now. It is becoming open, but I didn't run for it. I went for Community and Youth. Shouldn't be long before it gets announced about those up for the committee next year.
  15. Neil Jones is a great writer, might be a bit late to get in the nationals tomorrow, but Tony Barrett was working on it as well, but suffered the same problems as Neil did. Keeping my fingers crossed though. I did an interview with Neil before the United march and the Daily Mail took the story from that for their back page and press stuff followed on from there with ITN, BBC 5 live, BBC northwest and many more, so hopefully it follows on from it again. Only time will tell.

  18. Will give Graham some English lessons later. Probably better English than mine though. Problem with being a scientist.
  19. Maybe hate is a bit strong, but think there are people who see us like that. I hope that my presence on here helps peoples see what SOS is about a bit more and that is all we ask of people and not to make assumptions otherwise without looking more at what we do or talking to us.
  20. The problem with most of this I feel is a reason why I got accounts on more forums. You see stuff said about SOS which is completely false as there are loads of things about other things which are false on internet forums. People believe them and then they get adamant they hate us. If they took the time to look at what we are though and what we do then I think they would realise differently.
  21. We are expecting that. We have been fed so much misinformation over the last few days as well over this which is where there may be problems in it appearing in the press. So we are trying to clear all that up as well. But like we have always said though is let us know if you hear anything. Know someone who works at the airports or in hotels then let us know if they are appear at any of them and then we can plan something.
  22. I don't think it was a semi rush job at all. We have had discussions with Police over the last weeks about what we were planning when they were next over and as soon as we knew we put the plan into place. In terms of numbers, it could be something to look at. But there were about 50 who turned up at the Solly at 12 with numbers growing as the day went on. Hard to tell exact figure at the end with other people around, but it would have been no more than 300. Would need a lot more than that next time to make it work. If people were not willing to turn up yesterday (I know some might not have been able to make it for various reasons) then why would they come every week to do it. If we start doing the same thing constantly with the majority of the time it being pointless then people will get bored and just go back to having a drink in the pub instead of joining us.
  23. Gillett was here against Fiorentina and we didn't know until he arrived at the ground.
  24. The problem is if you do it every game then we wont get anywhere near the numbers we need or had yesterday, because you are asking people to get to the ground 5 hours before kick off to stand and block entrances. I would like it to happen, but it would not be feasible. If we do it when we know they are over then we can many more people out and hopefully after yesterday's success many more than we had there yesterday as well.
  25. We don't know if they are there on Wednesday, unless somebody has been told different. If we find out they will be there then it will be the same plan as yesterday.
