I'd forgotten about Chelsea's record for clean sheets in the league after Tuchel came in. That's always a sign for a side to be taken seriously.

While that is obviously a good record, I think there is something to be said for how having that kind of big number 9 quite fundamentally changes your set-up. I still wouldn't have him here

Makes them a much different attacking prospect to last year with Werner playing on the shoulder. Could see Mount and Havertz working with it well though, annoyingly. Would be nice if Lukaku reverted to the big lump he was at United.

I know they will end up signing a good player, but Dormund really are showing them up with the Sancho deal. Everyone knows they're dafties from their previous dealings. All of United's attempts at bartering, Dortmund just know they can wait and they will meet the asking price eventually

More than what he's usually saying around this time, usually more like "don't expect to do much business" But worth bearing in mind that the club seemingly enjoy making a t** of James Pearce every transfer window these days. Bit mean really, someone at the club laughing to themselves as they read Pearce insisting Thiago is NOT happening 30 minutes before he's confirmed on the official site.
