one thing i do not understand is that we keep talking about strikers and holidng midfielders, yet no one mentions and out and out right winger. bellamy who has been brilliiant so far would be more use up front and we can bring in someone who can cross the ball to carrol, he looked so much more dangerous when Gerrard was wipping those crosses in against newcastle. Downing needs to play on the left.

a couple of things on this. Adams first yellow was not a yellow and never will be. it was 3 minutes in and he was followed. the second one i can understand why it was given but still not a yellow, netballers get away with more. skertals second was not a yellow as bale milked it. one thing everyone seems to have missed here though is the penalty we should have had on carroll. there left back was holding his arm with both hands and at that stage of the game it was 1-0. yes we played poorly and we didn't deserve to win that game but it doesn't help when major decision go against you

hey guys new to this forum,I have been sitting here in Sydney watching this Alonso saga drag on and was not sure on how to take it. now don't get me wrong, I think Alonso is a great player, and I honestly believe there are not to many like him in football today. the only real problem I had with him was his pace, and I am not Necessarily meaning how quick he can run, but how much he slows down the game. Let me explain, I think the secret the beating teams that pack there defence, is by being able to hit them on the attack with pace when they have pushed forward, you look at the scum and the barca's of this world and they do it better than most. if we can find a player who will be quicker than Alonso in this aspect of this game, maybe as I stated this will be a blessing in disguise for us.. I guess time will tell
