I agree. Legend status for me is only achieved after you have left the club. If he leaves I will regard him as someone who was part of a great team that helped deliver trophies. But a legend no chance.

I'd find him somewhat hypocritical as well to be honest. Last season when he did his 'this means more' interview he was basically saying that yes City had won more trophies than Liverpool but winning fewer with Liverpool meant more. Surely that would extend to Real Madrid as well? As well as that we are also one of the best teams in Europe right now with every chance of winning the biggest prizes. I think this is about money and his weird friendship with Bellingham. If he goes then that his choice but please don't do any cringe interviews just leave quietly and get on with your career.
