    This. Bobby needs serious competition, becoming rather casual in front of goal and his general play for a while. Still does a lot o good approach work though. Gomez flatters to deceive. In every single game he suffers at least one lapse in concentration. He's just good enough, having said that, Virgil's standards have dropped quite a bit starting from the end of last season.

    Allen is not strong enough to play in a midfield two in the premiership.

    He's too static.Also not committing to 50-50's, think his pace is gone too.

    Henderson is average,as is Milner. Can has potential potential. All three are very industrious, hence our midfield is average.

    Henderson is a rather ordinary player,he lacks positional awareness and game intelligence. All he does well is expend energy.

    Firmino is a class player. In a team with better players, his quality would be obvious.

    That is our problem in a nutshell. All the players around Firmino want ball to feet, hardly any real runs off the ball.

    But we do have alternatives, they may be unproven, but surely deserve a chance to show what they can do. The "proven" ones have certainly not produced the goods.

    Agree. The team is so pedestrian. I only hope Klopp is giving them enough rope to hang themselves, otherwise his loyalty to them is a bit worrying. Many of them have shown absolutely nothing to deserve it!

    What could he have done? He was average but the supporting cast around him was diabolical.

    The saddest thing for me is look at the other team and see how many players are obviously better than our so-called 'stars'! And I'm not just referring to today's game, how did we assemble such a collection of ordinary players after spending so much money? Klopp simply has to start trying some the younger players in the league now.

    I think you hit the nail right on the head. Seems to me like he feel he's arrived, his demeanor and work rate are shocking. One can excuse bad decisions (he's only 19), but in the last few games he's not put in a shift. Or maybe he's just not fully fit!

    Exactly the point I was making.He has to start trying some of the younger players, at least they'll give him passion.

    Klopp has to write-off this season and most of this players. He MUST blood some youngsters, otherwise he might start losing the fans. His job will be that much harder if that happens.

    At least he's driven forward with purpose and had a great effort at goal. What have Henderson,Milner and Lallana done all game except run around like rabbits?
