That's my opinion, suppose you must be a genius if you think otherwise. He's not the reason we lost today, but he's certainly not the fantastic prospect some make him out to be. He consistently slows down play and complicates things unnecessarily nine times out of ten.

For Tielemans or Ndidi I'd exchange him in a heartbeat. He's nowhere near their level. Maybe he has the potential one day, but don't see it personally. Maddison can be a bit hit and miss at times.

That and the fact he's a local lad.

Add Salah to that as well. Apart from the goal he did nothing, could have and should have had at least one more, gave the ball away constantly and did not beat his man once! Lots of things wrong with the team, so difficult to know where to start. I'll give Kabak a pass for now, seemed like he was playing within himself. Allison made what can only be described as mentally mental error that killed the game. He was liable for the first goal as well, something going with him and the team that's had to describe. And it didn't start today, been evident from the end of last season, even when Virgil and Joe were playing.

To be fair Barnes has literally jumped into him. The state of football though, almost impossible to recognise it as the same game from twenty years ago. Ghost fouls and VAR decisions now deciding games.!!

It's beyond f***ed, become farcical! VAR is going to football as a spectacle, drawing lines in millimilitres to rule out goals as it if it's f***ing table soccer!!! Been watching this game for 50 years, but I can't relate anymore. Almost become indifferent to it now.

Players look confused by the formation. Think one of the four upfront has to come off, so we can shore up the midfield. Bobby would be my choice, been absolutely anonymous again. Salah with too many poor touches..........Bobby!!!!!!!

Gomez especially, looks very good on the ball but seems to lack physicality. TAA made the original error though.

Adrian and Gomez are not good enough. Hopefully Alison & Virgil are not out for too long, otherwise we're going to ship quite a few.

Only Robertson has looked the part in terms of application so far this season among the back four. Virg, Trent and Gomez have tended to play as if the game is won no matter how they play. This a disgraceful result and will have a lot ramifications for the rest of the season.

True. But so should Keita, Gomez and maybe even Gini.

He's not. Maybe this will make him a better defender someday, been getting away with a lot of dodgy performances for a while now. A few good ones in between , but not enough to atone for his many erratic ones. Salah!!!!
