Our plan first and foremost under Klopp will always be high energy pressing, movement and passing. The hallmark of his Dortmund side was high energy, pressing and attacking with speed. Unfortunately, the current squad (barring a few exceptions) neither has any of these traits or has the appetite to show them. The most dangerous aspect of Dortmund under Klopp was their ability to break with brutal speed. This wasn't simply a case of soaking up pressure and releasing wingers, but rather being able to convert the Gegenpressing into a swift attack from any position on the pitch. Klopp's Dortmund were always at their most dangerous from open play, before their opponents had had chance to regroup. Of the 469 goals they scored in Klopp's tenure, only 39 came from penalties or directly from free kicks. Klopp's style has no real need for set piece specialists. Rather, he requires players who are fast both on and off the ball. And, of course, fitness. The current squad is seriously lacking in pace. All our high work rate players are injured and we are therefore left with a less controversial version of Balotelli upfront. 'I always want it loud!' 'I want to have this 'booooom!' I like fighting football, not serenity football. What we call in German 'English'. Rainy day, heavy pitch, everybody dirty in the face and goes home and can't play football for the next four weeks.' - Jurgen Klopp
