Completely agree. For the life of me I cant understand what went through Rafa's head when he went for Keane. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I would have preferred for us to go for Saviola and someone like Jao Mautinho (right winger). Both combined would have cost the same amount as Keane. Rafa's biggest blunder in the transfer market. And it could cost us (and I am not talking about the £20m).

Cobs, I think you cant blame people for feeling down when points are dropped. Going by the last 18 years we have struggled the most to make up the dropped points than the other Big 4. Its a natural feeling to feel sceptical after so many false dawns. The way the team has played over the last 4 games has done little to ease those worries.

The worst thing is we dont look like bucking this trend. That is what is killing me. I will go spare if we fail to get maximum points from the next 3 games. That is what is needed to make up for the sh*t against Fulham and West Ham.

Do you think they are likely to draw 3 games at home against the sh*t such as Stoke, Fulham and West Ham. Will they f*ck. They have a lot more about them than we do which gives them the edge. The problem my friend is we only have 4 games a year against the likes of Utd and Chelsea. If we cant beat sh*t like this at home then we can forget the title. Look back to last season and remember what happened. Too many draws against the likes of Birmingham and Wigan and we were out of the title race before we knew it. This season is eerily similar to last season round Christmas time. As for Utd they will take the title, no doubt. They dont fail to score against this sh*t.

Agreed. FWIW, I think he will come good. He is showing signs of settling in and the last few games have shown that he is getting to grips with the game. One of the positive aspects of his game is that he will not duck out of 50-50 challenges. There have been a few occassions where has been been committed when going for a 50-50 challenge unlike his predecessor.

Was just about to set up a new post saying exactly the same thing. If we are to show our title credentials we need to win tonight to show that we have got what it takes. Otherwise we can kiss the league goodbye. If we cant take advantage of our rivals slipping up then we will definitely struggle to cope with the pressure at the business end of the season. I know there are no easy games but we have to beat the likes of West Ham. Oh and the crowd need to do their bit. If the crowd cant be bothered to support the team in games like this then those same people shouldnt bother turning up for any fixtures agains the Big Four or any European match.

You've just contradicted yourself and strengthened my argument. Which brings me back to my point that they are a better counter attacking side. Away from home they dont need to force the issue and as a result hit teams on the break. Its not so easy for them at home which is why their home form has suffered.

That was the Chelsea of Maurinho and Grant, not Scolaris. Scolari's team is set up completely different to his predecessors. I think their home is a testament to that.

Its funny Chelsea have a worse home record than us but no one seems to notice. All we hear is how this Chelsea juggernaut is gathering pace and is unstoppable. They have dropped 9 points at home compared to our 4 points. I was speaking to a mate of mine who knows very little about football but he agreed that Chelsea are essentially a counterattacking team. They are devastating away from home but are utterly clueless when it comes to playing at home. Oh and if Utd draw their next game at home, they will have an identical home record as us. Agree. And if Torres got injured yesterday, 90% of the forum would have gone mental as to why Rafa played him in a meaningless trophy. Really cant understand the uproar, it was a league cup for godsake. Yeah we performed badly but it doesnt change our league position or how we will approach the league.
