F*ck 1-0 to Bolton from a corner.
-
Kyriagkos almost cost us there

"Massive day for Liverpool, they desperately need a win at Bolton to reignite their title challenge. Rafa benitez has endured his worst start to a season in 11 years - back then, he was relegated from La Liga with Extremadura." - BBC F*ck me, please God dont let this happen.
-
You really love Rafa dont you.
-
Its more likely game over. I had a bad feeling about tonight.

This Alonso saga reminds me of Stevie G's situation in 2004 and 2005. Will he go or will he stay? Stevie ended up staying has been immense ever since. Lets hope the same is true for Alonso.
-
If you read my post I meant last season. Last summer Ronaldo complained about not being allowed to leave and even went as far as saying that it was slavery. Yet he stayed a full season and helped them win the league. Has Xabi actually done this? No. But you seem to be happy to drum up this theory that you have developed in your deluded little world that he is unhappy and we should not hold onto an unhappy player. Regarding the Ronaldo situation, they had agreed that if Madrid came in with a good offer, they would allow him to leave. Madrid offered 80 million pounds, deal was done. If Madrid offered 35 million + a player and Xabi wanted to go I dont have an issue with it. But if the right offer does not come along then I would hold on to Xabi regardless of how much he wants to go. Do you have a 'happymeter' in your fantasy world then? 'Oh no Xabi has moved down the happymeter, guess we'll have to sell him.' I suggest you stop hanging out with Peter Pan in Neverland, who knows what fantasy you will come up with next.

Which f*cking player is 100% happy at their clubs? Do you think Carra or Stevie G are 100% happy at the club now or have been in the past? Based on your theory we should get rid if they are not 100% happy. Good one. Was Ronaldo 100% happy at Utd last season? Was he f*ck. But did they get rid of him at the first sign of discontent? Thank God Rafa is the manager and not you.
-
Ronaldo said he wanted to go to Real last year but ended up staying and had a decent season. Barry did the same at Villa and even critcised their manager but then ended up staying and by all accounts had a fairly good season. Why should we treat Xabi's situation differently. Even if he comes out and says he wants to go, it doesnt mean we will let him go at the first offer that comes in. Our asking price should be at least £35m + one player from Real and no less. If Real can not pay that then tough because we are more than happy to keep our Player of the Year from last season.
-
Quit while you can still save face. It could very ugly if you continue with this rubbish.
-
A couple of things for you Mr Valdano you thick f*ck. People are right to think they can make some money from you - if you can pay £80m for Ronaldo why the f*ck should other clubs accept lower bids for the players they consider every bit as important to them as Ronaldo was to Utd. Secondly, if there are alternatives to Xabi (I dont believe for one second there are any), then why on God's green earth were you sniffing around our place. Go f*ck off bag to Madrid, you sh*t on a stick.
-
So what. He can f*ck right off with the transfer request. Let him rot in the reserves especially since this is a World Cup year. Unless Real come up with a £35m + a player, Xabi is not going anywhere. Real seem to forget this is not the Turd (Owen)/McF*cface situation. We are firmly in the driving seat on this. If Ronaldo can get £80m for Ronaldo we can at least get half that figure.

Am I the only one who is slightly cautious about Silva. He comes across as a bit lightweight and may struggle with the physical aspect of the Premiership. Also, from what I have seen of him, I've not been massively impressed.
-
I once had a debate with a friend of mine about who was the better striker between Robbie and Owen. I said Robbie as he was the most complete finisher we had at the club since Rush whilst he was pro-Owen. I also said that Robbie was red through and through. He said Owen was the same but he was misunderstood because he was not a local boy like Robbie. Well it turns out my friend was right. We misunderstood Owen all along. He was red through and through - Manc red. He's a grade A c*nt and always will be.

True but Dossena was Rafa's buy, Keane wasnt. But if Rafa can get someone like Cambiasso to replace Alonso and get Sneider from Madrid as part of the deal then its not a bad deal at all.
-
I am sure Rafa has a couple of people in the pipeline to replace Alonso should he leave. He may not necessarily be looking at a like for like replacement. He may end up looking at a Barry type player. Alonso is without doubt a top player and I desparately want him to stay, £35m will get Rafa two first teamers that will improve our overall play.

This may make you reconsider. I suggest you read to the bottom of page 5 of the document. http://www.thetakeoverpanel.org.uk/wp-cont.../12/2005-44.pdf I have copied the extract for you: The Executive is consulted about the application of Rule 21.2 to a range of agreements between offerors and offeree companies. These agreements (which are frequently described as “Implementation Agreements” or “Exclusivity Agreements”) impose a variety of restrictions on offeree companies. For example, they often seek to restrict the offeree company from soliciting other offers and impose confidentiality obligations on it." Also read point 5 in the following link: http://www.withersworldwide.com/PDF/downlo...over%20Code.pdf Come back to me when you are done.

Rubbish, there have been countless examples of Plcs entering into exclusivity agreements for various types of transactions. There are no special provisions in place that exempt Plcs from being bound by exclusivity agreements. Once the period of exclusivity has expired they are free to deal with other parties but not when they are under the exclusivity period. Given the potential competition, I would like to think DIC had a watertight exclusivity agreement in place to ensure they were in pole position.
-
Yes once DIC due diligence has been completed. But Parry & Moores were entertaining bids while DIC were conducting due diligence. It is irrelevant whether they were allowed the same level of access. They should not have been talking to them whilst DIC were still doing their work.

Errm boll*cks. I think you need to educate yourself on exclusivity agreements - try google, its a good place to start as any. See below the legal definition of exclusivity: "Exclusivity agreements, because they are present in a number of different areas of the law, come in a variety of forms and are designed to meet a range of goals. The overriding purpose of each exclusivity agreement is, however, to define a relationship in which (generally) two parties agree to deal only with one another, to the exclusion of third parties. The duration of the agreement; whether it is bilateral or unilateral in its rights and restrictions; if it includes only two parties or perhaps more-all such matters are dependent to a large degree on the area of law from which the agreement springs.Today, one is most apt to find exclusivity agreements in three different areas of the law-in the commercial world, in mergers and acquisitions, and in real estate." "Two companies contemplating a merger sign an exclusivity agreement to prevent one or both of the parties from seeking other third party targets or partners. Shorter in length, these agreements keep the parties' attention focused during the discussion phase. Inherent to these agreements are certain provisions, such as articles on access, no agreement, termination, and changes. The parties allow one another access to files and pertinent data. The parties are of course bound by confidentiality provisions, especially if the deal is not consummated. Just such a scenario is dealt with in the "no agreement" provision, which states that even though the parties are dealing exclusively with one another, they under no duty to conclude a deal. They can walk away, in other words. A termination provision talks about the natural expiration of the agreement or early termination by one of the parties. And finally, certain provisions in the agreement may well forbid parties from making material changes to the way the business is run during the exclusion period." Now what was it you were saying about exclusivity agreements?
-
Exactly. What p*ssed of DIC was that Parry & Moores were also entertaining offers from G&H. That is completely unacceptable and from a business standpoint it stinks. I dont blame DIC for walking away. DIC had exclusivity and exclusivity means that you give the buyer your sole attention and DO NOT under any circumstances entertain any other bids. If DIC took so long to complete their DD, so f*cking what. It was their right to do so. The fact that Parry and Moores were talking to G&H whilst DIC still had exclusivity, was very unethical. Moores was and still is a fat greedy c*nt of the highest order.

Can we please stop going on about Eto'o. How much motivation and hunger is he likely to have to fight for the league title after having won just about everything with Barcelona. We dont want/need players approaching their 30s that are unlikely or are unwilling to change their style of play to fit into Rafa's system. We have tried that experiment twice before with Morientes and Keane and failed spectacularly on both occassions. If we were to sell Masch then I would much rather have 25million plus Busquets and another player.
