I work in Saudi and I have spoken to various people about this Prince. All of them have said the same thing in that whilst he is very rich (filthy rich at that) and very well connected, he is also a very shrewd businessman. He will not just throw his money away or accept the first price that is quoted to him. There is probably a whole lot of negotiating left to be done before he even considers parting with his cash. They also said he does not like to share ownership so if he invests he will most likley go for at least 75% shareholding. If he does invest then, according to these people, we can expect to receive some serious backing. They said that he is currently a majority shareholder in a football club in Saudi which has won a number of domestic trophies over the last few years and currently has the best defender, best midfielder and best striker playing in the domestic league.
