  1. It still baffles me how we let go of a world class manager who came across well in interviews and replaced him with one that is utterly clueless and out of his depth. Great decision by the board that were well supported by the media and a section of our supporters. Roll on the good times.
  2. Apparently, according to DH and Gunga Din, Rafa last season was worse than anything we saw under Souness.
  3. No I leave that sh*t to you and you haven't disappointed on that front.
  4. 20 games later and 3 points above the relegation zone..... AntM: "People are asking how long to give Hodgson.... a reasonable question but the answer has to be more than 20 games. Besides this is the best we can hope for under the current owners."
  5. I'd replace Poulsen with Lucas since Lucas' best performances have come against Utd. I'd also swap Gerrard's position with Meirelles. Otherwise that formation and team kicks *ss.
  6. Can't see why we can't go for this midfield: ---------------Lucas----------------- -------------Meirelles--------------- Maxi---------Gerrard----------------Cole --------------Torres---------------------- This has a much better balance with both Johnson and Konchesky overlapping and Dirk and Cole being able to provide defensive cover. Spot the obious error in my previous post
  7. Its official, Kev is an alcoholic.
  8. No they werent. People were accepting that Rafa screwed up and some of his decisions were baffling. However, we said that he deserved another chance. You and your posse decided that we were on a downward spiral and we needed a change. Someone who could 'get more out of this squad'. Well you got your change but he's not actually getting more out of this squad. If anything some of our performances have been so bad that they are actually worse than anything we saw last season.
  9. I agree we need to be unified. But unfortunately the pro-Hodge poster simply do not allow anyone to say anything negative about Hodge. At least pro-Rafa posters admitted his mistakes. What Roy has dished up in his first 8 games is nothing short of diabolical. At least Rafa started his LFC career with promise with some good performances against Man City, Arsenal and West Brom.
  10. What??? You mean like you supported Rafa through his reign? Like saying that 2005 CL win was a fluke. Yes, I agree Kev we need to take a leaf out of your book on how to support a Liverpool manager.
  11. Not sure I follow you there mate??
  12. What - you mean like you supported Rafa last season right?
  13. What the f***? If you really want to go down that route, then in the eight games he has been in charge he has shown exactly what I thought he was an - an average manager that is completely out of his depth at a big club like ours. He is not even fit to lace rafa's shoes.
  14. However, the previous manager was lambasted for not making the most of a very good squad yet this manager receives nothing but sympathy. How convenient.
  15. To be fair to Insua, I still think he has talent to be a top class player. It didn't help his cause that his fellow defenders were rank for most of 2009/10 which meant that Insua's mistakes stuck out like a sore thumb. I can see what Rafa was trying to do with his full backs i.e. bomb forward at every opportunity. Unfortunately for our fullbacks, our midfield's inability coupled with poor form from our central defenders, meant that our fullbacks' deficiencies were pinpointed more.
  16. Not buying that, City were pulling our defenders all over the place which had little to do with rank defending and everything to do with poor tactics. It was like watching Fulham out there.
  17. What a load of boll*cks. If you really want to go into it, that first half against Arsenal was infinitely better than the first half yesterday and at least ten times better than anything your Uncle Roy has dished up this season.
  18. The thing is no matter how much RH f*cks up, the media hacks will cut him some slack because he is an Englishman. The media played a big part in why Rafa got sacked.
  19. We are not dying for him to fail, we just know that he is going to fail.
  20. You forgot Agger at left back. F*ck me I would have preferred Insua there today.
  21. I might add, Rafa wanted to buy Milner but the board did not have any funds. He's had a storming game for City today. Oh and imagine if Rafa had subbed Torres at this point...
  22. Didn't you hear DH et al saying that things would be much better if Rafa left. Bloody hell they were spot on, things are fantastic. Its going to be an amazing season with the master tactician at the helm. 4-4-2 away from home, Gerrard in his favoured midfield role where he doesn't have a clue. Playing Agger in his favoured left back position. Good times are back.
  23. Like our current owners. Or the counter stories about Huang not being able to prove the funding could well be drummed up by the two cretins we currently have at the club. For the record, I am not advocating Huang but nothing is black and white when it involves the two pr*cks that own our club.
  24. In todays world his fee would be 20 million plus. For me he is the worst pound for pound (both in weight and currency) signing we have ever made.
  25. How the f*ck is Van Bommel still on the pitch? How many fouls has that dirty b*stard committed?
