Most Uruguayan defenders are dirty bast*rds. Who can forget Montero - proper cynical dirty little c*nt. Fortunately we have a striker who also has a nasty side to him. On the striker front, I wouldnt mind if we made a move for Forlan.
If UEFA fail to enforce the current fair play rules, then what is the point of having the rules. You might aswell have a free for all. I hope for the sake of football, UEFA sees some sense and does the right thing by booting City out of the CL.
Here. Let's not forget that Rijkaard had broadly the same team (minus Villa but plus Etoo and Ronaldinho) and his team was nowhere near the standards Guardiola has achieved. This Barca team has Guardiola's imprint all over it and the players love playing for him.
He is a fantastic player. Not as quick as Torres but has some skills that Torres never had such as running with the ball, vision and an eye for a killer pass. Torres in my opinion is a better goalscorer. I absolutely loved the Torres of the first two/three seasons but I think this guy has taken his place. Given the amount of work he does outside the penalty area, I doubt he will score that many goals.
I think there is one coach who deserves more respect above others - a certain Rafa Benitez who was solely responsible for a complete overhaul of the youth set up.
B*llocks to sending them on loan. From what I have seen, Flanagan, Kelly, Ayala, Shelvey and Robinson are as good as any of 'Wenger's Kids'. If he can blood them in why can't we? Not sure about Spearo mind.
The article keeps harping on about Wenger building a "culture" and building for the future. If that type of culture means challenging for all trophies and then getting routinely spanked by sundry and all in February and ending the season empty handed for each of the last five years, then he has got it spot on. I have a name for that type of culture - its called "bottlers."
Carroll has more to offer than Zlatan. So if that big loof went for 40 million without any one batting an eyelid, then why all fuss about what we paid for Carroll.
Great quote from Kenny: "I started off at Celtic and moved on, but if Kevin Keegan had not gone, maybe I would not be here. It's no different now – people move on. The most important thing is the club. That is much more important and bigger than any one individual, no matter who has been through it previously and who will in the future – the club is the club. I will never forget that and anyone who does is being a wee bit stupid and irresponsible." The man is a legend. So glad to have him back.
He's got the potential to be a white Drogba with hopefully a better attitude. I am looking forward to seeing how it pans. I reckon he is going to kick the sh*t out of a lot of defenders starting with Terry next week.
