Had no premiership experience and had not been tested at the top level. We signed 5 uknowns of which only one is expected to go straight into the first team. Yeah you are right - we have done a Spurs.

No comparison Fred, none. We have signed 4 players (including Balotelli) with Premiership experience. Spurs signed none with EPL experience. We have signed players people know well and have proven at the top level (including internationals). Spurs signed players no one had ever heard (probably with the exception of Soldado). Honestly, tell me had you ever heard of Paulinho, Chadli, Capoue, Chiriches, Eriksen. We have signed players to supplement the first team (Balotelli being the exception). Spurs signed players to come straight into the first team to replace some key players.

The fact that they Tadic and Bertrand were doubling on him time and again with no support might have something to do with that. I thought he did well.

They can collect all the strikers. But it's the back end they need to worry about. Everyone knows when it's backs to walls time, the back end needs to be protected. If not you end up getting shafted by the big boys.

His build and style are perfectly suited for the PL. He also has pace and skill. If he is interested in coming, we should do everything possible to bag him.

Coutinho is going to have a strong season and will be some player. I am gobsmacked he did not go to the WC. Brazil could have done with his creativity. Guess Brazil's loss is our gain.
