BR's defensive signings are not looking to great: Sakho - 16m Llor - 7m (not played a game for us) Lovren - 20m looks as shaky as anyone in defence Mignolet - 9m - gets worse by the day. That is a total of 52m and we are worse than when we had Agger, Skrtel and Carra.

Would prefer to see a midfield 3 of Lucas, Henderson and Lallana with Sterling behind Sturridge and Mario.. Not going to happen though.

The problem is not him dropping back. Positionally he is all over the place. Leaves us exposed time and again. Has to be dropped but wont be.

Not when you lose one of the top 3 players in the world and really do not have a like for like replacement. This season was always going to be a season of transition. I did not think it would be this painful though. Getting to 4th will be a battle.

We were realistically never going to win the league this season. I am more worried about Arsenal and the Mancs. We need to sort it out quickly.

I still cant believe we got beat by Fat Sam. This is going to be a long painful season.

Hang on - granted he is no Suarez but if he is no Costa or Falcao, then what is he. Because we actually need a Costa or Falcao to keep us in the hunt and even that is a massive step down from Suarez. I think BR has dropped a ball there.

Unacceptable performance but again tactically BR got it wrong. If you play Lucas, push Stevie further forward. F*ck knows what Borini brought to the team. Did not even realise he was on the pitch.

When you have no f*cking cover and urine ladened sh*t for brains goalkeeper, even the best defenders are going to look bad.

Shades of Hull City last year - only worse. F*ck me, this will be a long season (and a painful one). At this rate, we will be damn lucky to avoid relegation.

I think there was a record that we have not won a game for 30+ games when we have trailed at half time. Add another one to the list. This where you earn your BR.

The problem is by the time all our new players kick in, the CL places may well be out of reach. You get the feeling top 2 places are sealed by Chelsea and Man City. Arsenal will get 3rd. Mancs could beat us to 4th as they at least have something going forward. I think we are just as bad as them defensively.

Our midfield is light as toilet paper. If we take Lucas off, we effectively ask West Ham to walk right through us.

Is that the personnel or the system. If former, then BR has bought badly and we are screwed. If the latter, then he needs to fix it ASAP.

Our opening run of fixtures have been brutal: Southampton City away Tottenham away Villa home West Ham away Compare that to other teams.

Just so you know, I realised within 10 seconds that I put 12 players down. I decided to leave it to get a few laughs given how depressing this place was after the Villa defeat.

Hear, hear. Our squad is solid. Absolutely chuffed with all our signings. I would have liked for us to sign another striker but not at the price Mancs paid for Falcoa.
