  1. Looks like another shocking and heartbreaking loss. That is another team that was in woefully bad form we are making look like world beaters. Any chance we can get a decent manager that signs good players and can actually get us back to winning ways.
  2. No I am disappointed my team let slip a 3-1 lead away from home when the points should have been in the bag. I am disappointed that the manager has failed to address our soft underbelly that has been aware of for the last year.
  3. No we did not, we went for Klopp and will probably regret it.
  4. And you'd be happy with 2nd? If Chelsea win the title, then it says a lot about Conte that he won the title in his first season. We missed a trick by not going for him.
  5. A keeper is supposed to save routine shots like. If he needs defenders to bail him out every time the opposition take a short, then we are in trouble.
  6. He is a better option than Lovren. We have had a sh*t defence for years. Klopp has done nothing to resolve that in training.
  7. Truth sometimes hurts. We are facing another season of sh*tness.
  8. If we cannot beat Bournemouth, what chance do we have against the rest. As I said before, we have no chance for the league with this defence.
  9. That is why we will not win the league.
  10. We are not the first team that Sunderland will play against with 10 men behind the ball. Chelsea, Mancs, Spurs, Arsenal, City do not face the same problems as we do in unlocking packed defences. I was really hoping that with Klopp, it will be different.
  11. No I am not. This has happened every season for the last 20 years. We start really well, build our hopes up and then hit a really sh*t period where we fall behind in the title race. Our rivals always scrape results (see City today) and we just fall short. Next year Mancs will be stronger, ditto Chelsea and City. This season is realistically our best hope.
  12. I think this season will be another false dawn like the last 26.
  13. He was on French TV slagging off Stevie G, asking what he had done in the game. Emmanuel Petit shot spitface down quickly, said something like "I am sorry I cannot allow you to say that about Steven Gerrard, immense player."
  14. They are people who make up new sayings.
  15. They started the same way at the start of the season. After 1 draw and 2 defeats, Conte abandoned his system and tried a new one. Let's see how long he perseveres with the current system if they start drawing or losing games The thing with us, despite a few set backs, we have not changed our system right from the start of the preseason. Familiarity breeds success they say.
  16. The thing is, it is much easier for clubs like Southampton to take risks on players as they do not have the same expectations from the players as we do. There is not the same level of scrutiny on new signings for Southampton compared to say for us, Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd and City. There is also no guarantee that the same player that is successful for Southampton will become a bigger success at a new club i.e. Shaw, Schneiderlin, Chambers, Walcott, Oxlade Chamberlin, Wayne Bridge It is arguable that we have had more success with signing players from Southampton compared to other clubs.
  17. Putting the Burnley result aside, it is no coincidence that Lallana has missed 2 games that have ended 0-0.
  18. Southampton were playing at home today and defended as if their life depended on it. We were much the better side today. Created a hatful of chances that we should have buried. Just wasn't our day. I am happy for sides to defend against us. I know we will create chances.
  19. Yet we beat Swansea, Hull, West Brom, Watford - games where we have dropped points in the last 5-6 years. We are 5 points better off in the Swansea and West Brom games compared to last season. No one is saying games against the mid-table sides are easy but if the players can get rid of the complacency for these games, then these sides cannot live with us. Hull, Watford, West Brom and Swansea second half being a case in point.
  20. And if we can then beat City at Anfield.......woosh.
  21. Its funny. Post match TV analysis focused on how bad Watford defended. It seems every team we play against seems to defend badly. I wonder why that is?
  22. A lot of that has to do with Can. He is very slow and cumbersome today. Not sure why Gini did not start.
  23. We should bed winning this 5-2. That Mane miss is unforgivable.
  24. Excellent ball by Gini
