  1. Yeah, first good thing he's done for the club the useless c***, sell him.
  2. Riera has done about as much as Babel with the ball to be fair, just looks a bit more comfortable on the ball doing it. Both could do with some better movement from the strikers and some support from the full-backs. Something Babel has had none of.
  3. That was peach of a ball from Lucas there.
  4. This commentator on Setanta seems to think Babel is left-footed, f***ing nonce.

Very impressive display from him. Don't think he done anything wrong, was very comfortable on the ball, has a lovely turn of pace to help get himself out of a tight position with the ability on the ball to go along with it, good awareness in possession and responsible in defence. Already looks a far more assured player in the side than Dossena has looked. It doesn't surprise me at all though, i've been of the opinion for a while now that this should be his "break-out" year. Great to see Rafa's first real prospect come through the ranks also. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Nemeth up next hopefully. Injuries haven't helped there though.
  6. Well i think its been proved on enough occasions now that poor ol Bascombe has resorted to making stuff up, that or he's being fed fairytales. Anyway, if he evetually gets something right, hopefully this is the one. SPURS TO LAUNCH CUT-PRICE BID <script src="http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/js/notw.js" type="text/javascript"> ROBBIE KEANE - troubled By CHRIS BASCOMBE, 06/12/2008 SPURS are trying to re-sign Liverpool's Robbie Keane. And a bid anywhere near the £20m the league leaders paid in July could see the Irishman make a January return to White Hart Lane. Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp wants to test how much patience Rafa Benitez has lost with the striker, who was an unused sub during yesterday's 3-1 win at Blackburn. But even if Rafa looked to cash in, the Anfield board would need convincing of the merits, as the Merseysiders' would inevitably have to accept a loss. They agreed to pay Spurs £20m in instalments, which means Redknapp could offer part of the summer fee and waive the estimated £10m still owed. Keane's dream move to Merseyside has gone sour just five months into his Anfield career as he's struggled with confidence and form. He effectively has until the end of the month to convince his manager Spurs' interest should be rebuffed as Rafa plots a radical shake-up of his squad in January. Opportunity Benitez wants funds to remedy summer transfer mistakes, none of whom started at Ewood Park. Liverpool's recent signings have failed to have an impact, with only Albert Riera acquitting himself reasonably well. Left back Andrea Dossena, who cost £7m from Udinese, will be offloaded back to Italy at the first opportunity. Right-back Phillip Degen, who was given a £2m signing on fee and £38,000-a-week salary when he joined from Borussia Dortmund, hasn't featured in the Premier League due to a succession of injuries. Rafa wants to bring Emile Heskey back to Anfield for £3m, as well as two full-backs to compete with Fabio Aurelio and Alvaro Arbeloa. Lure There are those at Anfield who still hope Rafa can be convinced into a rethink on Michael Owen at the right price, especially if Keane is sold, but the manager opposes the idea. Keane grew up as a Liverpool fan and always wanted to become a idol on the Kop. After starting at Wolves, he had spells at Coventry, Inter Milan and Leeds before finally settling at Spurs, where he became club captain. Last season he formed one of best partnerships in the Premier League with Dimitar Berbatov but could not resist the lure of Anfield. But he has only scored four goals for the Reds, has played 90 minutes just three times and been substituted 15 times.
  7. Don't like him, at all. Valencia at Wigan would be a far safer bet. Works his balls off too.
  8. Did you not see the third goal? He saved our asses again today. Don't know what we'd do without him.
  9. 1. Insua 2. Hyypia 3. Reina
  10. Really looks at home in the side doesn't he.
  11. Good result etc etc. Great, united up next, get to watch some proper football.
  12. Gerrard....again.......what would we have done without him today.................? Won 2-1? oh!
  13. Vogel, jesus. Didn't he play at AC for a while.
  14. Oh dear.
  15. That was a good tackle ref.
  16. Is it fair that i think Insua should now be ahead of Dossena in the pecking order? Get in Yossi!!!! Lovely stuff.
  17. God your dull. Do you have an opinion on anything or is your schtick to just make sarcy comments?
  18. Gewt the f*** in...........................ARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
  19. One contribution more than most. Was on no way any worse than Yossi, Gerrard, Alonso, Areboloa.......i could go on. Rafa has never made a mistake i your thinking i take it?
  20. Yossi with a neat dribble but doesn't release the ball and inevitably loses it. Never seen him do that before.
  21. Babel starting to have an influence now. And he's off. Un-f***ing-believable. Complete nonsense., Manager with some ball would have left him on, and brought on El Zhar anyway.
  22. What an absolutely dreadful ball from Gerrard. Shocking.
  23. Delightful touch from Babel draws the foul from Warnock. He gets a yellow.
  24. Arbeloa gives away another stupid free-kick. Yellow. Cleared.
  25. So so close. Insua with a lovely one two with Babel, Insua puts a ball in that isn't cleared properly and Alonso really ought to have done better.
