Let me ask, when we brought the front 3 together ((Salah, Mane, Firmino) dId they come straight in and press exactly like Klopp wanted/expected? No it took them time, similar to Fabinho or Robertson. None of Nunez, certainly not Gakpo, or even Diaz have had that time, Jota presses, Diaz naturally presses. Add to that the lack of investment in the middle, massive drop in legs and form, missing out on key players and the attitude of the best or nothing (which I admire in the transfer market) is difficult to put up with when we’re left months without a needed player/‘s. I guess it’s a consequence of having barely enough money despite pulling in record revenues

And if we sign 2 midfielders in summer and go back to full pressings like we were would it still be the end of an era or just a bad season that a lot of players needed replacing. Sounds a bit dramatic to me

Unless there is a massive turnaround, with the way we have played all season it’s very difficult to see us getting anywhere near 4th. We don’t even look like we have the stomach for a fight leaving aside the quality. This team is full of doubt.

There’s a lot going on, lack of investment, poor form morphed into an almost capitulation, loads of injuries, not sure i can explain VVD’s of Fabinho’s loss of form, different tactics with new players etc.

So he’s purposely doing all this for more investment. Amazing stuff this.
