  1. look all players have bad games and when they are having these bad games u get them off, especially when its the only striker on the pitch, theres a reason he was stuck out on the wing for most of last season and this and its not because he's a goal scorer.keane hasn't scored enough but would have at least brought something different to the table instead of the lump who had countless balls bounce off him to either their keeper or another of their players.he was 8yrds out when a lovely ball came to him and he let the f***** bounce off him and it ran straight to the keeper,if he had any control at all he was in with a great chance of scoring.no matter how good people think he is usually he was s*** today and needed to hauled off.
  2. however anyone feels about the subs today,i cannot think of one reason why rafa would stick with someone who was playing terribly all game.we needed a goal we had a striker on the bench who by all likely hood could not have done any worse than what was on instead of him(kuyt was absolutely sh@t today)and we dont use him.now i couldn't give a s*** if keane hasn't taken his chance when he was getting them but thats no reason whatsoever to stick with the utter disgrace of a performance that kuyt put on today.we needed goals we needed to change things up front it was obvious, everyone but rafa could see that ffs..... keane has never played as badly as kuyt did today for us
  3. its painfully obvious we are missing torres badly now,we need someone to create something from almost nothing and keane and ngog certainly aren't those type of players.we are just going to have to struggle through till he gets back fit and hopefully pick up points to keep us at or near top till then. on a positive note we are top of the league, ahead of the all conquering chelsea so in fairness when the frustration eases off we aren't doing too bad and i wouldn't swap our position atm for anyone elses in the country.
  4. alot of people who watch or go to matches are on edge and easily frustrated they also have their few players who no matter what cant do anything right,so when things start to go wrong they're spitting and stuttering out as many insults as they can think off any time one of the players they cant stand as much as touches the ball.the tension obviously eases when we get an early goal and they can actually enjoy the rest of the game.Basically alot of people are useless under pressure or stress and they only way to deal with it is to let loose on anyone. i'm kind of like that,i have (or did have one or two players that annoyed me beyond belief when they were even picked for the team)but when they played well consistantly i gave them a break, but if there is a mistake in tactics like rafa leaving out alonso for lucas in a prem game,or for even buying degen and dossena(especially degen who i knew before we bought him he was utter s***)u got to let that frustration out.
  5. i think the beauty of this season so far is not that we have played badly and won its when we needed to play well like against the mancs and chavs and even everton we have been excellent.so what if we have been below par in some games, most people brush a game off when they see we concede 1 or 2 goals early and put it down to us not playing well which is true to a certain extent but in the second half of these game we are the polar opposite,we almost always come back to win even when 2 down because when the pressure is on we seem to have the knack now to be able to pull results out of the bag just like when we played the mancs and chavs,i dont think its a coincidence.now if we can get that pressure ,need to win and drive we have when under threat of losing at the very start of games it would almost be perfect. if we played s*** for he rest of the season and got 1-0's who'd be complaining (aside from the sky commentary team )
  6. i think maybe you should get out more....
  7. bullard and murphy were too much for masch and lucas, when they got the ball the held position were very smart and played our two center mids off the park in the first half.masch always looks his worst when paired with lucas for whatever reason.our big problem was having both gerrard and alonso out,we really cant afford to have both out at the same time also torres is just a little too short of match time yet to be really at top form, couple that with keanes total ineptness today and it made for a poor show over all.if he wants to stay in the team and indeed at liverpool keane needs to take these golden chances when they arrive, todays coupled with last weeks miss from 3 yrds(which is really unbelievable).you cant keep your place at a club with misses like that coupled with his general lack of threat, poor passing, making wrong runs or never on the end of a through ball always seems to be a sec or two too slow.he needs to be more commanding and sharper.
  8. thank god i dont have to listen to keys or andy gray, that disallowed goal was a f'ing foul, the ref was watching for it all the way and blew the whistle as soon as the ball came in.typical bolton blocking the keeper holding a dragging at him preventing him from getting to the ball. a well deserved win the only thing for me is even though we control games and get a goal we dont get the second and leaving ourselves open to getting caught.we desperately need someone to get the second goal to make sure of the points, especially when we are so dominant.today we got it after a tough start to the second half and as soon as we did we killed the game and they knew it which made it so much easier for the last 10mins or so of the game.
  9. well thats the whole thing, they talk a good game but when they had the chance to buy the club on the cheap they walked away(yeah it was a pride thing )so now they come back in with an offer around twice the size.i'll put it this way i'll believe it when i see it as it sounds like rubbish. damn i quoted the wrong post...ment to quote fyds
  10. i think this bid from the shiek is pie in the sky, people keep assuming that its still on the table but i doubt it is,with the state of the club and the financial markets im praying that we DO get the loan extension so that we dont go into administration so we have more time to find an actual buyer not one who hides in the backround like something waiting to pounce but never does.
  11. keane seemed to be really up for this one,and is actually looking to shoot as soon as he gets a chance unlike usual where he instead looks for another pass which usually ends the move by being cleared.this should do him the world of good,we were a little too casual early on but came into it strong and got the goals our play and dominance deserved.
  12. i agree,he definitely will be the top or one of a very select band of footballing center halves in europe who are actually very good at defending and playing ball atm though he seems a little too casual.
  13. i'd say they walked away because of the debt the club is in.why else stick a bid in and walk away...
  14. ok it was a soft peno but a peno nonetheless,he went for the ball inside the box didnt get it and caught gerrard instead.now he didnt do a whole lot to gerrard but if that was on the ground and both of them were goin for the ball in the box and gerrard got there first and knocked the ball ahead and their defender barged into him it would be a peno no question.fact is u cant go for the ball in the box not get it and to make it worse catch the man whose running with the ball no matter how soft it looks its a peno.yes gerrard made a meal out of it but so f'ing what if he didnt we might have lost so its something i'm willing to live with
  15. tbh i thought it was as much aggers fault as anyones' he stood off the player who passed it to maxi,he gave him way too much time to look up and pick the pass,he should have ben on top of him alot sooner,as soon as the ball went to maxi he was always the afvourite as he was running onto the ball whereas carra was stationary and couldn't make a tackle as he was in the box.
  16. i dont think we played badly at all, certainly never looked like conceding had most of the ball and should have finished when keane was through but none the less i cant see anything other that us winning it in the second half.madrid are tidy but we are better then they are we really need to take our chances when they come and thats it...
  17. our only problem was not having someone to get that vital second goal.we played them off the park for most of that game, even in the last 20mins or so they only came back into it and tried to make a game of it,it's not like they were dominating. We and most teams who miss their main goal scorer can only go so long without him before we start to drop points, look at the scum and ronaldo, even chelsea with drogba(although not so much).we have coped excellently without torres,so much so that if he wasn't fit for the spurs game its wasn't a huge problem we thought we could cope and in fairness we really should have.luckily he'll be back for our next and hopefully for the rest of the season so the next time we play s*** teams off the park they get beat down with no chance of coming back into it late on
  18. anyone?? well you could have asked me and i couldn't have told you that was going to happen do i count as anyone?
  19. spurs are jammy b******s,own goal and one decent chance they scored whereas we had 5 or more, cant go on forever without torres,we need him back.babel was anonymous when he came on,couldn't hold the ball up or do anything with it.we should have had them buried early in second half but we didnt and paid the price and thats football.
  20. strong half got the goal and shut up shop and so far spurs have nothing,it doesn't look pretty but spurs will have to come out more in second half if they want to get something from this game which is playing into rafas hands.my biggest concern would be a few shots from distance forcing pepe to save but since the conditions are so poor he's likely to spill it and allow one of the spurs strikers to run in and score.
  21. yeah without the 3 players you've mentioned they are definitely weaker but i believe that in midfield even with essien and b****** added to deflecto shank we are alittle stronger with masch gerrard and alonso at the very least we are equal,i think their weakness is scolari which may sound a little thick,if that was mourinho on sunday chelsea would have gotten something somehow scolari just didnt seem to have any answers, looked alittle lost to me tbh. having said that my football knowledge isn't great and what im saying is basically observation which isn't the most reliable base to form opinion on
  22. agree with that, that game had a lot less stress for me as the usual chelsea games where u know they are about to lay siege but it never looked like happening on sunday, they were played off the park and knew it.i think secretly scolari has taken a blow and now realizes what he's up against, maybe he felt he could just waltz through but if this is the new chelsea then we dont have alot to worry about, smaller teams might get torn up but as us and united showed they are alittle soft and very beatable.
  23. i think if he was that good milan wouldn't want rid of him,i dont want some (wonderkid) more than likely flop to replace an excellent footballing centerback.agger and skrtel will eventually be the heart of our defence, there are plenty of midfielders with potential not so many actually fullfill it though.
  24. i cant see any point in resting key players for this game, its another 3 points at stake, which we need badly.i wouldn't be opposed to one or 2 changes but no more and as for babel, well when masch ran with the ball towards thier left back position and sent in a s@#t cross that went right by babel and out for a throw on the otherside babel looked really pi$$ed and screamed over some crap at masch which showed he had some desire, fight something i think he needs to show alot more of if he wants to succeed at this club,no doubting his ability its his casual attitude thats holding him back.if he gets a start against pompey he needs to have some f'ing fire in his belly and he'll destroy them.
