There was some very positive articles about the city in the Guardian during our last European cup run. They ran one article, around the time of the final, about how cultural the city is. They ended with pictures of Liverpool and milan and you had to guess whcih one was which, basically showing off Liverpools restaurants, shops and bars. They also made it very clear they were supporting Liverpool over Chelsea in the semi to be fair i haven't seen much of that

i do read the fiver and they take the piss out of everyone. They mainly make comments about scousers thinking everyone in the media is out to get them, which, based on some of the responses to this post, isn't that far from the truth.

think the cup scheme is a good idea. would save alot of hassle both sides to just be able to say 'i want to go to all home European games this season' think the idea about the number 12 is lame though
