  2. I'd like to ask him who drinks the most in LFC, and who gets laid the most.
  3. 1. Torres 2. Gerrard 3. Riera
  4. There's speculation in Danish media today that he will buy himself out of the contract for around 2.5 million in January.

    Fan Zone

Is it the same guy every time? I used fanzone commentators in the match at home against Blackburn at the end of last season, and the guy commentating then was really funny. The in-your-face-celebrations are pathetic tho, but I like the concept. I think it's because I'm an OOT.
  6. It was just cramps, no?

  9. Norwegian media are claiming that Liverpool had assigned their Scandinavia scout to watch Vegard Forren of Molde FK in todays game in the Norwegian Premier League between Molde and Bodø/Glimt. Forren is a 20 year old central defender. He said after the game that he's flattered by the interest from Liverpool, but his favourite team is Man Utd. And his agent said that Forren is definately staying in Molde until the season ends in November. I don't know how far the interest of Liverpool goes, but I'm guessing he'd be available for about £1.5-2 m.
  10. Exactly. Like with us and Gerrard. And whenever he's feeling sad, he should call his bank and ask for his balance. That should do it.
  11. But then again you have the odd Gerrard, Owen, Carragher, McManaman or Fowler coming through, making it all worthwhile, no?
  12. Some of those teams are playing in the second qualifier round, and if they are knocked out, the team that knocks them out will take their place. But we can't draw any of the teams that are seeded in the 3rd qualifying round, like Rangers, Juventus etc.
  13. Benitez seems to perfer not only leaders but intelligent players, which is key when adapting to all the different tactical structures he sets up for every game.

(1) Dates: 3rd Qualifying Round First leg: 12-13 August Second leg: 26-27 August (2) In the first leg we should at least play our strongest side, the potential opponents we can meet are not that bad, and the away game might be tricky. 15. From football-rumous.com:
  16. Kewell is what? 29 or 30? This is his last chance to do something different, the atmosphere and the enthusiasm in Turkey seems to be amazing. The guy needs a new start, which is just what he's getting. And a lot of money too I suppose. I reckon I would have done the same in his situation...
  17. Agreed! We only really have Torres and Gerrard, and they suck. OMG, Man Utd fans make compilations and put it on YouTube. So annoying!
  18. From Wikipedia: The song is popular in sporting venues, particularly football. Italian football fans often chant the song's signature guitar riff, most notably during Italy's victory in the FIFA World Cup 2006. About 10 million Italians were supposedly singing the song "Across the Nation" the night following the final. They picked the song up when AS Roma played in and against Club Brugge for the UEFA Cup [5]. The song was also played at the opening of every game in the UEFA Euro 2008 Football Tournament, although not in its entirety.[6] and was adopted by fans attending the tournament as a terrace chant.

  20. I read an article about it the other day. It was the Club Brugge fans that started to use the song a few years ago. Then they played against Roma, and their fans started using the song over in Italy. When Italy won the world cup a couple of years ago, they were first only singing "po-po-po.." and "de-de-de..." to the melody, before the supporters started using the text "Cam-pioni-del-Mon-do" (We're the World Champions), and this version reached the top of the hit lists in Italy. It's after this we started singing the Mascherano song.
  21. My thoughts exactly.
  22. I tried it once. Anyone can just post whatever they want. But for what it's worth, the page is sort of entertaining I suppose.
  23. Maybe they should, but I disagree with those saying that selling their top players only shows lack of ambition. Teams like Arsenal (Henry, Viera), Man Utd (Beckham, RvN, Stam), Barcelona (Figo, Ronaldo) and Juventus (Zidane), to name a few, have all sold some of their best players when they've felt that the time and money was right. So should we, if we can use the money to improve the team.
  24. Is this the level this discussion has to fall down to? Nice falla, this "Cobs" Read a few articles on alternative cost of capital, a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow, the net present value of a loan is zero. Etc. Then let's talk about it.
  25. ...and yet, we were out of the title challenge by December.
