Ah yeah, sorry thats right. Its getting late...

While we have done great this calendar year and all, we still haven't won or achieved anything going into our history books. Brendan has been here for two years now, 4 transfer windows, and while we don't really know the mechanics of who decides what and his restraints on leveling the finances etc. he has some responsibility for the small squad we have. Not to sound pessimistic or anything, but under Brendan so far we have improved 1 standing in the league during the 1st year, and done crap in the cups. Fingers crossed he manages to guide us into the top four this season and FSG offers him a new contract, but seeing how close this season might be, we can easily drop down to 6th-7th by the end if things go astray. Knock on wood it wont happen.

Whats the downside of waiting to see where we finish this season? And what has he done to merit an extension at this point?

the running backwards thing is one of the basics you learn as a defender in order to try to lead the attacker towards your backup/hes weaker foot/ or away from the goal. You're gonna be complaining for a while longer if that is wrong in your book...

Whats the logic in this statement? I get that if he isnt playing for them, then its hard to score a goal, and probably just as hard to do for us if not playing, but... Or do you mean that a clear cut scoring chance is twice as clear cut up there as it is for us etc. Its just easy for Sunderland, thus all the top scorers up there

With the form hes shown over the last two years, do you think he'll ever get that much at a club again? Think he's sharp enough to know that wont happen, and if it was true he came to us on lesser wages...

They might want/need the money more then letting him go for nothing next year. Its not like Ajax dont produce talented footballers... someone will take his spot this season instead of waiting on the sideline for another year just counting down the days till Eriksen is gone.

He told them a while back that he wont sign a new contract, what are they supposed to do?
