Not so sure. England have quality in the final third but aren't really bossing it. Feels a bit nil nil at this point. US are playing alright.

Van Dijk was the only reason Holland didn't lose that match. He pushed the team up the pitch and told Ake to move into midfield space. Van Gaal wasn't bothered by the Dutch having no midfield and no striker until he put Weghorst on late on.

Really impressive from Iran that. The players must be under such pressure from their own government for what they've done so far. Fair play to them.

They miss Wijnaldum in midfield. And they don't have a striker worth the name. De Jong is supposed to be the playmaker but he hasn't been playing. Three years ago him and Van de Beek were two of the best midfielders in Europe.

Watched the FIFA documentary at the weekend. Made me think about Qatar. If they bribed FIFA to get the World Cup, like the highest level bribe, then they must do f***ing loads of it at lower level, normal football.

The Southeast Asia teams are like schoolboys. Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia etc. Only half decent teams in the Asia region really are Japan and South Korea. I don't know how the hell Qatar are regional champions.
