Since I doubt that you will be willing to watch any full Juventus match, I suggest you take a quick look at this ... This was the last full Juventus match I have watched, and I agree that Aquilani was pretty average, compared to the first half of the season ...
-
As you will find out, I never criticize LFC players, especially not after a defeat or a bad run of results ... Of course, I have my opinion on them, but I don't bring it up in public ... As long as anyone is wearing the red shirt, he deserves the full support from any LFC fan ... And no, this is not some ''super-fan'' bull****, this is only a principle that I have adopted a long time ago ...By the way, Aquilani is not a LFC player at the moment ... Even though we could have used him this season ...
-
Well, I have seen some piles in my time, but this one beats them all ...
-
Because I am not a Juventus fan, and I don't care about their results ... I am only watching their matches regularly this season because I want to see how is our loaned player doing there ...
-
Personally, I don't trust fans' opinion on players ... After all, you will easily find a good number of LFC fans that don't rate Kuyt or Lucas ... But, I do watch the Serie A, especially since their fixtures generally do not collide with the Premier League fixtures ... I have watched a good number of Juventus' Serie A matches this season, probably close to 15 matches ... And, while he has not really been a world beater, Aquilani has always been amongst best Juve players, bossing their midfield and dictating the tempo of their game ... In my humble opinion, he deserves another chance, especially after this: http://www.liverpool...lebron-and-aqua

Another mistake, just like loaning him back to Italy ... Even if we do get the €16 million from Juventus, we will never get a player of the same talent level for the same amount ... Lets not forget that he has been fully fit this season, missing only 2 matches for Juve ... I have actually watched most of Juve matches this season, and Aquilani has been very good ... The only reason they are hesitating to pay the full pre-arranged price is their heavy financial crisis ... Aquilani would be awesome under Kenny, in his pass-and-move system ...
-
Not really ... He has became a regular for Atletico at the age of 17, so this is his 10th full season of senior football ... So, he is not the regular 27-year-old football player ... He is more like a 29-30 year-old player, based on his mileage and number of matches ...

I have been very clear in my statement on Kranjcar ... I see him as a good central midfielder in a 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 (diamond) ... In both cases, I don't see him playing the second striker role ... Or if I have to be more clear on the issue: 4-4-3: XXX XXX XXX Kranjcar XXX XXX XXX XXX XXX XXX XXX 4-4-2 (diamond): XXX XXX XXX Kranjcar XXX XXX XXX XXX XXX XXX XXX

We don't know that ... Our last season under Rafa was a chaos, for so many reasons ... I would like to see Aquilani at LFC, playing in Kenny's pass-and-move system ...
-
In my humble opinion, the best creative central midfielder in the world ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGDw4CrRTm8 It will give you the rough idea about the role ...
-
Yes, playing Aquilani in front of Gerrard was one of Rafa's mistakes in his last season here ... It should have been the other way around, but for some reason, Rafa has switched their positions ... Looking at Aquilani's play at Juventus this season, he is doing very well in a more withdrawn position ...
-
Of course that Aquilani is suited to the role of a CREATIVE central midfielder ... He has played there regularly at AS Roma, and he plays there regularly now at Juventus and the Italian NT ... You have just described the role of an ATTACKING midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 ... By the way, Gerrard is world class in this role ... When I talk about the role of the creative central midfielder, I talk about the role of Xavi, Pirlo or Alonso ... There is a world of difference between ...
-
Of course he is ... Gerrard is an awesome player, but he lacks the tactical discipline to be our regular creative central midfielder ... If Gerrard was an appropriate replacement for Alonso, we would have never bought Aquilani in the first place ...
-
God forbid that we will be playing with a ''midfield two'' ... It would mean that we are playing the classic 4-4-2, the most out-dated formation out there ... Why would we buy a central midfielder, when we have a top quality one coming back from loan ?
-
Cecil, are you OK ? In the role of a creative central midfielder, Aquilani is superior to Gerrard, Meireles and Lucas ... Now, I know that some people would want us to play without a creative central midfielder, but to be honest, I was bored to death by Roy's hoof-ball ...
-
I would respectfully disagree on that one ... Apart from both being dark, and designed by Adidas, those two kits have nothing in common ...
-
Does that makes him incapable of playing in central midfield on a good level ? You know, Charlie Adam has never played in central midfield, until he has moved to Blackpool ... He was playing mostly on the left for Rangers ...
-
My claim is not based on assumption ... I have actually watched him play in the center, in the earlier stages of his career ... He has all the attributes required for the role, and in certain systems (4-3-3 and 4-4-2 diamond, as I have suggested) he would be very effective in central midfield for LFC, in my humble opinion ...
-
Why would I make up something like that ? He was listed at 84kg at LFC.tv, and also here: http://guardian.touch-line.com/?Lang=0&CTID=29&CPID=68&pStr=Player&PLID=179974&TEID=534 In any case, Kranjcar is strong enough for the role of a central midfielder in the Premier League ...

It is the home GK kit for next season ... The present home GK kit becomes the away GK kit for next season ...

Juventus prepare assault for Pirlo Wednesday 13 April, 2011 Juventus have been encouraged enough by signals from Milan to try and lure midfield playmaker Andrea Pirlo away from San Siro. Earlier this month, Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta admitted that Pirlo figures in his summer transfer strategy. Efforts to renew his contract at Milan have gone slowly and recent comments made by Silvio Berlusconi suggest Pirlo's time at the club is nearing an end. Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Juventus are now prepared to make a direct approach to Pirlo's agent Tullio Tinti. Marotta has a good relationship with Tinti. The pair worked together at Sampdoria on Giampaolo Pazzini's transfer and more recently on the Luca Toni and Alessandro Matri deals. Despite his age and high salary, Pirlo fits Juventus' criteria in that he is Italian and could give the team an immediate jump in class at the heart of the midfield. Juventus feel that they have an advantage on other interested parties in their location, as Turin isn't far from Milan or Brescia, his hometown, and many of his Italy international teammates play for the club. The problem regards his contract, which is worth €5m a season. If Juventus can't get the 31-year-old to accept a cut, they will move for Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo instead. http://www.football-...net/apr13d.html
