  1. Why are our players so thick? New rules say you can't do that. Moronic.
  2. They we scrambling around for first 30. Then we nose dived for some reason, again. Probably their flukeish goal. That's when they took over and had chances as we let them in. We don't seem to be able to carry out Klopp's instructions for the whole game at present, like last season. Hopefully there is a fix.
  3. Should have been out of sight by 30 mins in. Think this is what is enraging Klopp. If we are hell bent on attack, then we have to put them away.
  4. He's pretty much spot on to be fair. Just because we s*** the bed every time they attacked doesn't mean we were all over the place, we weren't.

  10. It is the first time that a law-enforcing agency accused both Russia and Qatar of bribing high-ranking soccer officials. The DOJ detailed the complex schemes that landed the two countries the hosting rights to the quadrennial high mass of the global game in a comprehensive indictment that also charged former executives at 21st Century Fox. ZURICH, SWITZERLAND - JULY 20: Comedian Simon[+] GETTY IMAGES On Monday, US federal prosecutors for the first time said that Russia and Qatar paid bribes to members of the FIFA executive committee in order to win hosting rights to the 2018 and 2022 World Cup. Before FIFA awarded the hosting rights of the 2022 World Cup, Qatar paid bribes to three South American soccer officials, including Brazilian Ricardo Teixeira and Paraguayan Nicolás Leoz, in exchange for their votes for the tournament, according to prosecutors. The indictment also highlights that Russia paid $5 million to Trinidad’s Jack Warner through a number of shell companies in 2010. The Russians also offered $1 million to Rafael Salguero, a Guatemalan official on FIFA’s executive committee, according to the prosecutors. Donoghue, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, in a statement. Russia and Qatar have always denied any wrongdoing. It was on a frosty December afternoon in 2010 that the FIFA executive committee awarded the 2018 and 2022 World Cups to Russia and tiny, gas-rich Qatar respectively in front of royalty, international dignitaries, and a global TV audience. A majority of the 22 ‘good and true men’ on the Executive Committee since faced accusations of ethical violations. Some were banned from the game, others indicted for ‘criminal scheme or racketeering’ by the US Department of Justice, and imprisoned. But the 2018 World Cup in Russia became a resounding success and a PR coup for Vladimir Putin. The World Cup maintained its status as the pinnacle of the game after France’s coronation following a four-week spectacular. The tournament generated a record $5.4 billion in revenue for FIFA as well. On Tuesday, the Kremlin issued a forceful denial of the World Cup bribery allegations. "We have read media reports and we cannot understand what it is all about," said Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov. "Russia was granted the right to host the world championship on an absolutely legal basis and it has nothing to do with some kind of bribery, which we categorically reject.” In 2022, Qatar will host the global finals. Allegations of corruption and human rights abuses in Qatar have been sticky. In December even FIFA, inadvertently, seemed to admit that Qatar had won the hosting rights through improper means in the same document that upheld the lifetime ban of Brazilian soccer administrator and one of the 2010 ‘good men’ Ricardo Teixeira.
  11. 2010 is when it happened Collusion. Fraud is always hard to prove but most of us can work it out. Anyway, going to go back to enjoying Messi, Maradona and Paddington having the the day of their lives. https://www.forbes.com/sites/samindrakunti/2020/04/07/russia-and-qatar-paid-bribes-to-host-world-cups-says-prosecutor/
  12. Haha. You really believe that? I don't for a second think you do. It was always a pact and you know it.
  13. But that's a self defeating argument. Qatar/Russia was a pact. How can you differentiate and criticise one and not the other. In this particular case I mean.
  14. Russia got overlooked? For bribing and winning 2018? And they are International football pedigree?
  15. They were simultaneous. Are you suggesting one was more dodgy than the other?
  16. It's Russia. Both and probably more. But heh, they look white so let it slide.
  17. Russia did bribe to get the world cup.
  18. Agreed mate. Point made though is why did Russia get a free ride and Qatar didn't? I mean no one wants to even mention Russia until they are brought up. Its racism innit bruv? What a guy. Argentina won it by the way.
  19. There were deaths and labour abuses in Russia's build up for their world cup. Not a squeak from anyone. Not as many but the same point applies. If you couple that with what Russia are doing internationally the difference in accountability is stark.
  20. So was it worth it? Just saying if we wanted to make a moral point, maybe boycott it. I include myself in that. No morals.
  21. Yet we all watched it and loved it.
  22. English media/ outlets have no idea how they appear to the rest of world. They were garbage today and the French knew they could beat them without breaking sweat. But plucky losers apparently.
