  1. I said it in another thread yesterday but Lambert and Balotelli are as far away from what worked for us last season as they could be. I could understand one and an alternative option but we should have been in for a more mobile striker even if he wasn't a big name.
  2. Slows down our attacking play too much. He wants to hold on to the ball and bring other in but it's just letting defences get set. We need to move the ball quicker in the final 3rd.
  3. We've not made bad signings, we've just made the wrong signings. All the incoming players are decent but they have made us change the way we play when the way we played was perfect. Love or hate Balotelli, he's a completely different striker to what was working for us. We had pace, trickery with the ball, directness and Balotelli isn't any of that. He's always looking to drop deep or hold the ball up and and he slows down our attacking play. Someone like Remy or Wellbeck suited our style better. Balotelli wasn't performing yesterday and our options from the bench were Borini and Lambert, neither of whom offer that style that worked so well for us last season. Can we get Origi back from loan? Markovic is struggling and we seem to be trying to play him in to form which isnt' going to work. Thought Mignolet was poor for the goal again yesterday, he should be pushing that away to safety not patting it down in front of him. His confidence is shot and I'm at the point where I'd be looking to give Jones a run of games until we can get Valdes in or January comes. The over reliance on Sterling is a massive problem at the moment, he struggled last night and as a result we struggled. We shouldn't be that reliant on a 19 year old no matter how good he is. Sturridge is such a massive miss at the moment.

  5. Back to his best, get him in.
  6. Sterling Rossiter Lallana
  7. I might be wrong, thought I'd read somewhere that it was all agreed in principle with Milan. Think his contract runs out next summer.
  8. Hasn't he agreed to join Milan next summer? If so I would imagine others may get considered over him.
  9. Coutinho would have tried to take the leather of the ball and shanked it wide.
  10. Mignolet is a great shot stopper, the problem is that all other aspects needed are below the level required in a top keeper.
  11. We're being link to Joe Hart in the Guardian. Can't see there being much in that.
  12. Moreno Manquillo Henderson
  13. Catalogue of mistakes for the goal but Mignolet was pretty brainless. How slow was Lovren though? Worrying that.
  14. I'd go. Mignolet Manquillo - Lovren - Sakho - Moreno Gerrard Henderson - Coutinho Sterling Ballotelli - Lambert
  15. I think he does.
  16. I can't think of much else at the moment, it's eating me up.
  17. You do understand that they don't have to stay there the entire game don't you? You see? They can move left and right as well
  18. Lets get the diamond back Sunday... Mignolet Manquillo - Lovren - Sakho - Moreno Gerrard Henderson - Coutinho Sterling Balotelli - Sturridge
  19. Looked lively when he came on but soon faded. We looked a lot brighter with Lambert on as well until Johnson went off. Mignolet's positioning for that last goal still baffles me today, he just completely lost his bearings and was slow to react when he realised that. For all the negativity around Twitter etc I thought we bossed the game early and there were plenty of positives. I think Sturridge needs a strike partner though and Mignolet is in desperate need of competition. What happened to the Romero links?
  20. Someone is putting s*** through his letter box as we speak.
  21. But now we can laugh and rub our £75 million all over ourselves.
  22. I think attribute wise he's perfect for us but like you said, we don't spend big money on 29 year olds who are on big wages as well.
  23. Plus apparently we met with his entourage. f***ing entourage. As soon as we were asked to meet with his entourage we should have told him to f*** off.
