After a long period of consideration I've decided that we should do this.

If someone like QPR appointed Ian Ayre their fans would probably be raving about getting Liverpool's CEO on board.

He's a good signing. Will I be happy if he's the best we sign this summer? No. Will I be happy if he's the worst we sign this summer? Definitely. Experience and a leader, bags of energy and knows what it takes to win trophies. Cost us nothing in terms of a transfer fee. No brainer really.

Yeah, his agent seems the sort that would look to buy out his contract. 2 year left at £35,000 a week means that they could potentially force it for less than £4 million. It could be a disaster for football if that happens though.

We should go after Khadiera, Alves, Romero and Ayew while we're raiding the free market.

Rafa has made it pretty clear he wants to come back to Liverpool, that doesn't mean that he's coming back to manage Liverpool, just coming back to be with his family.

Pretty clear to me that a few of the players haven't been playing for him the last few weeks. Real lack of desire and character in the last few games.

If he wants to go then sell him, he's a 20 year old kid who has lots of potential but it's just that. Been s**** for months, people have said how good a season he's had and he's scored 7 goals, the fact is that we need players offering more than that just as he needs a club offering him more trophies and money. He was absolutely immense when he played with Suarez and Sturridge last season but I think I would have been as well given the amount of space those two players created at the top end of the pitch. I can see it from both sides, we've clearly handled it s**** but at the same point I don't believe he's offering £150-180,000 worth of value on the pitch either and his agent has had an absolute nightmare and hung Sterling out to dry. Use it as an opportunity to get some money in and spend it correctly, not that I have faith that we will do that. FWIW I don't see him getting straight into the first XI of many of the big teams that I think he'll want to play for.

Hasn't shown up since that interview. He's full of potential but he needs to be doing it week in week out to be earning the sort of money he's after. Where does he go if he leaves us? I don't see him getting into the first teams of many of the big teams across Europe.

At least he got something on it, Brad Jones would have dived out of the way.

I think his time is up now, we should be trying as hard as we can for Klopp today but in all likelyhood he's going to have a lot of big offers. Next in line is Rafa for me but not sure FSG will take the risk even though he's probably the best candidate for the job.

I think Rodgers needs to have a think about what formation he wants to build on next season and go for the players to fit it. Our squad lacks massively in some areas and we have an abundance in other areas. FWIW I think we should be going back to 4 at the back and playing 2 up front, get the diamond back. For that we need a quality right back, quality defensive midfielder, top class midfielder, a new keeper (or at least cover) and 2 strikers minimum. Another centre back would be nice. Alves, Mascherano, Gundogan, Lacazette and Beranhio should all be targetted. This lot can be shipped as they have little effect on the squad IMO... Hope he is to be honest, although I think he'll turn them into a force.

Seen a few links with us signing Oscar. IF we were looking to go back to something like a 4-2-3-1 next season Oscar, Sterling and Coutinho behind a top striker would be great.

Sterling isn't doing himself any favours at the moment, just seems to be lots of bad PR for him and his agent is to blame for putting so much publicity on him. Getting filmed doing this a week after you've been moaning to the world that you should be on more money is ridiculous.

Clubs have worked out how to play against the 343, Arsenal and United got their wide players and full backs wide and created loads of 2v1 situations which leads to our midfield and centre backs being pulled out of position, this ends up with us being pulled all over the pitch. Rodgers needs to come up with a plan B.

I don't think he's good enough to play for Real Madrid at the moment, can't see it happening.

If he doesn't want to be here then sell him. Liverpool is bigger than Raheem Sterling. Ibe has shown he's got similar potential, Markovic is a similar age and dominated for Benfica last season so hopefully that will start transferring to us as well. He either signs and shuts up or we get big money for him. I don't give a s*** either way, I support Liverpool not Raheem Sterling.

Get shot of Ballotelli, Borini, Aspas and Lambert. Get in for Lacazette, bring Origi in and get another top striker with a proven history of goals. Sturridge is good but you need to plan for the 8 months a season he's injured.
