    I'll go out on a limb here and say Riera that had a better first 6 months thans Downing's had so far. Hes been worse than I could ever had imagined. Plus he's a bottler.

    One thing i've noticed about Carroll the last couple of games ( and its something he deserves credit for) us that his number of defensive headers is increasing by the game. He made 3 great clearances v everton.

    Turn your mind back 12 months. Carroll back then was terrorising defences for fun. And I mean terrorising. We will see that player in a LFC shirt im convinced of it. His time at LFC is in its early stages and you still get 'internet worriors' wanting him to fail. Sad really. Bad representation of our fan base. Get behind the lad and we will have one hell of a player on our hands.

    Although he was critisised for his performance it was clearly evident that he looked a lot sharper. Sharper turns and much faster when sprinting. Good Signs.
