  1. And if you need help looking ill, someone could always text you pregame "info" such as "Reina injured in warmup, Dudek in goal"...
  2. Congratulations, it's worked: 1-0 Kuyt !

  4. If they're actual, then sack Parry for misspelling 2 out of 5 words.
  5. So Hicks & Gillet change policy on two points and that's a reason to sack Parry? Flawless logic....
  6. I spoke in jest - I seem to remember Reina doing alright with pens on that balmy afternoon in Cardiff...
  7. Dudek to come off the bench for the pens in Athens....
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually announced his retirement from LFC (if not from his playing career) before the end of the season. He said in just about every interview after rejoining that not having a proper send off from the fans bothered him the most about the way his first career ended...
  9. Can I have neither?

    Gonzalez

I think he definitely has the class to do that. That cross that Gallas just managed not to score an own goal from was absolutely top drawer.
  11. Oh well, I had fun writing it. April fool's jokes on an internet forum are probably a waste of time anyway: there's no time for the gullible to bite before someone gives it away...
  12. Since we usually have the opposite when we lose: - Reina: learn to catch the _ing ball! Rafa get on the phone to Charlton and swap loan deals pronto, then in the summer get rid. Anyone who watches MOTD regularly will agree with this! - Alonso: either you concentrate out there or make room for someone who will. This was a HOME game, you were supposed to pass to the guys in RED, not yellow. - Gerrard: what happened to your shooting skills? Save those for England, do you? Oh and here's another one: when you have the ball with a clear avenue for a pass to put Crouch through, lumping the ball into row Z of the Anny Road end is not the best option. And before any of youse start on me, I remember that scene quite clearly, it was right at the beginning of the match and I saw it perfectly from the bar when I was ordering my 6th pint. - Crouch: terrible decision making. I know you probably like to see yourself on the highlights with your overhead flicks, but when Gerrard is positioned perfectly for a tap-in, leave it to him! Do you have ANY idea what partnership means? - Rafa: what's the deal with the treatment dished out to Hyypiä and Fowler? With all the long balls Arsenal play, we badly missed Sami's aerial presence, and Fowler scored the fastest EPL hattrick against Arsenal (they said so on Sky, so it must be true)? Any more of this blatant disregard for LFC traditions, and I will get on the phone to George and have you sacked and replaced with Digger&Kenny or even better, a medium who can get in touch with Bill and Bob on the other side.
  13. Maybe he knows something we don't...
  14. I stick by what I said that got closed on account of sillyness: for Rafa to leave (or be sacked) at this point would be a major setback for the club IMO. I think he has an idea of where he wants the team to go and how he wants it to play. It's obviously not there yet, but we're definitely making progress - todays disappointing performance notwithstanding.
  15. In George (and Tom) we trust - doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?
  16. Recovering from the op on his broken nose. Do try to keep up...
  17. I really don't get this fixation some people appear to have with having John Barnes as a manager. How long did he last at Celtic again? And how many clubs has he even managed (let alone had success at) since then?
  18. I find it quite amusing that there's not been one "LFC is bigger than anyone" or "the club must not be held to ransom" post in this thread. Now if you contrast this to the Gerrard sagas... If Benitez leaves, it would be a major setback for the club, no doubt about it. It would also cause me to lose quite a bit of respect for him, because he's started something here that he wouldn't have finished. As for replacements: Ronald Koeman anyone?
  19. at this bit from the Guardian's Rumor Mill:

    Barcelona next

since you asked: yes it is.
  21. through a storm....
  22. Except if we get beat 2-1 there. then 2-1 at home only gets us to extra time / penalties. but if we draw 0-0 then 2-1 gets us through.
  23. The answer is in the match report from the official:
  24. I have, it was a sheer Delight. (I never took it off...)
  25. Didn't Jack Hobbs play in defensive midfield for the reserves a lot last year?
