There was a kid in my daughter’s primary school a few years back, loads of talent. Was at Bristol city and was going around all the big clubs (inc Liverpool) for trials but his dad, an ex pro, was really pushy and actually not a nice fella. Last I heard the kid was getting in to lots of trouble and doesn’t play anymore. I can’t get my head around getting kids in at that age, my lad(7) plays and has talent and really don’t know what I’d do if he was ever approached, I’d like to think I’d say come back in 3yrs. There has to be other stuff besides footy
