  1. sil-villa?
  2. whats the reliability of these sources? from what this says were getting berbatov, barry, villa, quaresma and bently...would be great to have all those though chances seem slim mind of getting them all..
  3. we'd have to replace all of them, we've already got degan and dossena, barry should be on his way and i think maybe villa and instead of milner rafa would prefer to go for bentley..but im not going to get my hopes up or get excited unitl somones actually signed.
  4. well the madrid fans should start signing 'viva ronaldo, viva ronaldo, he's on a plane, on his way to spain, viva ronaldo' i've been tanunting my mancs mates and colleagues at work with that and they dont know what to say, hilarious!
  5. is it correct though? messi is class but best in the world at the moment, on this last season/even over the last two seasons? imo ronaldo whatever you might think of him is the best in the world followed by messi and theres not many across the world that would argue with it either..
  6. Jolean Lescott
  7. i think with arbeloa, aurelio, finnan, insua and carra all able to play at full back (arbeloa and carra if in real s*** finnan able to play left and right) we really only need one top full back - ideally right back.that way we could go and spend some money on one top winger and another top prospect, like last season with torress and babel - but maybe not as costly depending on how much we have to spend.
  8. i think what helped (unfortunatly they got the better deal out of it) was the french connection for us and the portugese connection for them
  9. i remember when we were linked to ronaldo, but we would never have got him even if we did come up with 12mil, utd had been keeping tabs on ronaldo since he was a kid. personally im not bothered we missed out on vidic, agger has the ability to be on par with him.vidic has been able to raise his game because of the position utd are in squad wise. agger and skrtel look like they could form a great partnership, but i dont expect them to hit it off straight away and i'd be happy to wait for that for a short while, let them learn there own game and each others before there playing every game together...
  10. did i throw any verbal abuse at you?? so whats the need to throw it at me? if your going to reply to my post, which is my opinion btw, then grow up and talk like an adult. Owen was already a done deal once rafa turned up, he had to pick a player from R.Madrid of which he took nunez, a mistake which he quickly rectified. he didnt have much of a choice of what to do with owen. kewell has never had his best days with us, he had a few games then started the injuries. SAF is/was in a different position to GH where he could afford to make little mistakes with players because he had a squad that was winning leagues (bellion was through the youth academy if i remember rightly). explain to me why rafa would get rid of the majority of GH's players within the first couple of years. diao, diouf, cheyrou, dimode etc etc etc the ist goes on..then he wanted to sign players like bowyer and apparently missing out on Zidane, C.Ronaldo (personally as far as i know thats a lie, the mancs had been keeping tabs on him since he was a kid). GH went to lyon, inherited a quailty team and then added some s*** to it aswell like baros. think what you like of GH, but he affected us off the pitch aswell, pened an academy and then expected it to run itself, spent £100's of millions..im not suprised moores had nothing left by the time rafa came along.
  11. i dont care what GH won for us, he was a poor manager, with poor tactics and poor people skils. he played crap football and ruined some of our best players - fowler, owen, didnt even play jari litmanen and spent loads of money on nobodies! fair enough he won 5 pieces of silverware but be honest as fun and exciting as it was they were all small cups - the league cup, super cup, charity sheild, fa cup and uefa cup..the first three are all worthless. he opened a academy which Rafa has said has produced nothing special since it was opened. his assistant PT had even worse people skills then he did. i try not to think about the days of GH, i get quite depressed. if he was our manager now, judging by his buys, we'd probably be competing for uefa cup places with the blue s**** or spurs going for champions league.
  12. Make whatever excuses you want to, personally i think we had patches of good and bad points in our season, somthing to work on, but overall were just not consistent enough. We got knocked out of both domestic cups, and no title challenge. i dont even count the champions league as a disaster, we were just beaten by the better team and the 2 best teams in the world are playing for the biggest cup around. In my opinion because of the poor domestic performance i would say we had a poor season. We need better players in our first team, and the quailty of the players we have in the squad is improving (looking at the reserves) but still under par. One of the best performances of the season for me has to be vs a*** at the emirates. We played with a half strength team and played some lovely football at times. I'm so glad this season is over, i just hope we strengthen with the right additions for the new season.
  13. Sauce?
  14. Well tom hicks and tom hicks jnr shouldn’t have a problem with that then... I spoke to customer services today and asked them why the Chelsea match doesn’t count 'because the game hasn’t been played yet it’s not fair to include it as a qualifying match' my reply was, 'well considering everything in the media about the club at the moment, and having just read the ticketing statement from Rick parry it makes me think he's even more of a prick' She just laughed and told me I was entitled to my opinion.. i was so dissapointed to find out that i only had 5 games recorded on my fancard that'll help me quailfy for the final and i probably wont even get a ticket with the amount of people in the sae position.
  15. there was this guy sitting next to me yesterday nd in the first 20-30 mins arsenal had a couple of shots and he shouted 'its in!' the first time i looked at him and he didnt know where to look and just said sorry then he done it again a 2nd time and i said 'what the hell is wong with you??' then when sami scored i turned to him and said 'thats what you call in, have some faith otherwise go sit over there mate' he tapped me on the back and was like yes your right im sorry.
  16. and were going to get Villa and play him wide right are we?
  17. well then you may as well have this whole forum shut down
  18. well the italian economy isnt great to be honest, i believe he's worth £45m but with the state of the league over there maybe the price could be £35-40mil
  19. 1. because he can play on the right, he's done it for brazil countless times..and considering how we play kaka and gerrard would be playing all over the midfield. 2. the FAPL is the best league in the world and i wouldnt put it past any player to want to come and play here, he's also played against us twice in a champ league final may i add, he has also given praise about gerrard too. 3. he'd cost and like i said..depending on what happens with the ownership of the club, DIC if they come in will want to get the fans on their side and the best way is to give the fans a top class player. you see chelsea, and the mancs go in for top players, spend loads of monoey, but when it comes to us you dismiss it..and then we get people on here saying 'why cant we go for this player and that player'. This is all speculation much like D.Villa, you could ask all those questions about him too..or any top player for that matter.
  20. whats the need to give stupid replies? ronaldinho's future isnt excatly concrete either (not saying we should go in for him and every other 30mil+ player)..r.madrid have said they may find it hard to buy kaka..i could see him coming to the FAPL so is there any harm in trying?DIC will want to win the fans over and what better way to do that then to splash out and deliver a world class player.
  21. forget Villa, personally i think depending on what happens with the ownership we should go in for Kaka, and play him on the right in our current formation. He'd cost a fair bit of cash but i think he'd leave Milan if the oppurtinuity came along..
  22. oh dont worry ive noticed already and how everyone always thinks there right and takes being corrected as 'abuse'...but my source is quite realiable..the sheikh himself i met him earlier today for a coffee..very nice guy i should say.
  23. my pleasure, i mean its not my fault im full of knowledge, considering that people actually asked the question i responded to. what i love about these forums is that theres always that one extra sarcastic prick who thinks he's funny...
  24. regardless if DIC were still in due diligence or ready to make the announcement, parry or moores still bottled it. How would you feel if you were in a similar situation, there was no loyalty and its not good business practice. i really hope DIC come in and while clearing Hicks out he clears parry out too.
