no i mean individuals cant like every song but just reading through the thread i see some people have a problem with several songs
-
maybe it'd be better if we just didnt say a word at the games and then people would complain about there not being enough atmosphere.. or maybe anyone that has a problem with the songs should just f*** off and go sit in the centenary? just a suggestion mind
-
there were 2 people sitting behind me today, a guy and a girl..both slagging lucas off before he had even come on..'come on then f***ing zico' 'lets see what you got you f***ing brazilian' then they kept going no matter what he done, it was sickening so i had to turn around and say 'leave lucas alone for f***s sake, he's a f***ing kid!!' they didnt say a word for the rest of the match!

Excatly!! its in our own hands and the thing that looks so promising to me is that gerrard and torres havent hit form yet (yes i know torres is injured). Keane still has more to come as does Babel and Skrtel will be coming back at a great time to. Just not very helpful when theres so many people throwing out so many bad vibes - how comes so many of you had nothing to say when we've been winning?
-
because your going to tell me we didnt pump balls up in the first half, we werent sloppy at times in the first 70mins and spurs didnt create any chances what so ever in the first 70mins. Yes we created chances and we didnt take them, but dont think for one second that spurs - whatever position they are in the league - have good enough players to hurt teams.
-
Arsenal create chances regardless of how they are playing. We created chances. didnt take them - but as a team we werent a good enough unit - the thing rafa wants to see is the flow in the conversion between defence and attack and attack to defence - today we didnt do that well enough.
-
It wasnt just about pumping balls upfield in the last 20mins, there was to much of that from us in the later stages of the first half aswell. I dont think anyone should be guaranteed a place in the team - inc Gerrard and Carra, BUT they're both 2 players who are so hard to take out of the team. Skrtel and Agger are both top players, but there not intelligent enough to play together without Carra at the moment. Carra is our best defender by far, and apart from the countless tackles he puts in every week he also has a big job of keeping Agger/Skrtel in check aswell as the full backs. Remember this isnt the experienced defence of finnan-carra-hyypia-riise where everyone knows excatly what there job is! so lay off Carra because he runs the defence in every aspect - not even gerrard questions him when it comes to defesive duties! one thing i will say is that when he is in possesion he needs to just give the simple pass to someone who can distribute it better. Yossi is absolute s***, he's as bad as pennant and both should be shown the door as soon as possible, i've always had question marks over him and considering he's not featuring so much this season i think Rafa is looking to get rid just as soon as he can find a sutible replacment. Riera kept possesion well today, but i've noticed over the last few games that he still needs to get to grips with his decision making, but signs look good. And keane today i wasnt impressed with, i kept thinking shoot shoot shoot - or get out of the bloody way! i still believe he'll come good, but still he's trying to hard! i dont think there is anything wrong with swapping him for babel, but the problem is when your a pace player and your made to chase long balls - which iin effect turns into 50/50's - it becomes so pointless. Babel is a pace player but wants the ball to his feet or to be put through - he's selfish in possesion becuase he wants to do one thing and thats to look for goal - great traits for a striker imo. On the whole I dont think it was about individual performances today, i think it was just a crap team performance - we didnt take our chances and this is what happens. It's very annoying to see how so many people lose faith and slate our players after just one defeat and being 2 place - you people should be ashamed of yourselves! It's f***ing november not may!!!

do you think if we gave Maradona a good reception and then maybe chanted Kun's name (when were winning of course) that he might persuade his son in law that this is the place for him to be? we can dream hey
-
3rd? re like 1st not only did he win the world cup literally by himself but he won Seria A with Napoli who at the time were nobody.
-
If only, i'd still take him, drop gerrard to cm and play him in front of gerrard and mascherano

Diego Maradona will be visiting Anfield on Tuesday for the Liverpool vs A.Madrid game. Obviously they'll be a lot of his country men he'll want to meet, in particular our Javier, not forgetting his son in law Kun Aguero will also be in town. Rafa Welcomes Maradona Would love him to get a huge reception on Tuesday and i know Macherano would be really made up Chants of 'Argentina, Argentina' or does anyone have any ideas?

hows about modifying it a lil bit - rather then singing the tune, sing the backing vocals from the song... oooohhh oh oh oooohhh oh oh oooohhh oh oh STOP! BABEL TIME!

You can stick your Gareth Barry up your ar$e

Yes, but it's hard to show when its hard to get into the team with the other 3 infront of him - plus rafa has already said on a couple of occasions that he always works very hard in training. Adding Barry will mean 4 players demanding first team football everyweek = rotation = annoying rotation threads and likely inconsistancy. Lucas still has a lot to learn before he can start demanding regualr starts, but he also has 3 of the best to learn from. Like Babel, Lucas has had a long season with the olympics and trips back to south america recently for the qualifiers. -

It wouldnt happen in January and in the summer would be to late for barry. Rafa wanted him for this season in order to mount a big challenge and beacuse Xabi wasnt pulling his weight, now Xabi is showing how much better he is then Barry, has a few years on him too and were mounting the challenge that we all want. If the form continues i doubt rafa would look to strengthen that position, but rather looking to add to the wings - pennant and yossi wont be with us next season so we'll need added reinforcements in thos positions first. -

i wouldnt, its not so easy for Lucas to get into the team right now ahead of Xabi, Masch or Gerrard. i wouldnt be selling him considering his age, potential, brazilian-ness in return for Barry who is a lot older and we'd get only a couple of years. Dont be so quick to dismiss someof the youngsters just because they dont get into the team - look at who is ahead of them. -

hmmm, how old is he already? -
long shot..but anyone got a spare for this?
-
well i first heard about him through someone i used to work with years ago and then tried to keep up on what he was like via match reports, clips, international youth games - namely the 2005 world youth cup..im not saying im a genius on his career and know everything about him but i hope that answers your question.
-
and i've know about him before his athletico days tyvm..we dont all use youtube to scout players all the time
-
its difficult to tell if he would be able to raise his game for a bigger club. He's got little pressure on him at Wigan but he looks like he's in better shape then Mido and has more to his game then him to.
-
im just the messenger using the same headline, so dont be taking it out on me and it says confirms 'Interest' not confirms were approaching them, launching a bid, in talks and he'll have a pre-contract agreement for january.
-
yes as far as i know according to his wikipedia profile.

Zaki Was thinking about zaki on the trip home saturday evening, and i think he's excatly the type of player Rafa would go for. Big, strong, great work rate for a full 90 and not only scores goals-but good finishes at that. Just not sure if he's already somthing that we've got in torres/keane/kuyt combined. Kun Im just hoping Rafa hasnt lost his interest in this boy, i've dreamt of him in our shirt for too long now
